“Overall the course was informative and easy to follow. The structure made it easy to learn the content and the content itself was helpful and insightful. The various unit tests at the end and in between the slides was very helpful and allowed me to keep track of my understanding and progress.”

“The TEFL Academy boasts a professional and easy to use platform that contains insightful information and challenging assignments for aspiring ESL professionals. The Level 5 courses contain high quality material on par with early Undergrad/HND frameworks in the UK. As a British National, I believe that some of the tasks I have completed here have pushed my abilities moreso than what I completed within my degree. To me, that spells quality. I'd say that the depth and range of the information provides a solid foundational/intermediate knowledge base that covers all of the keys skills for any new ESL Teacher. Overall, I give the course a Rating of 9/10 and urge you to take the plunge!”

“A challenging course that one can't just sail through. It requires putting your brain into action. With regard to improvements, it would be nice to have more samples (video, planning sheets or otherwise) of exemplary teaching methods upon which to do the coursework. Getting a distinction on any of the coursework was beyond my ability, perhaps because I haven't done any teaching yet, however it would have been nice to see some more of the 'gold standard' of what was expected of any student on the course in terms of achieving a distinction. Otherwise, quite a manageable, user-friendly layout and a fine introduction into the larger TEFL world. I am pleased that I chose TEFL Academy, as it is (I believe) the only TEFL Course that is accredited in both the USA and UK. Not too shabby.”

“This was the first course I had ever enrolled in, and completed, which was almost exclusively done online. As such, there was no auditory learning involved, which I am used to as I went to university and studied face to face. It was just a matter of getting used to the delivery format, and I found that once I wrapped my head around the layout of the online platform, it was relatively easy to navigate and locate what I required. It also takes time to carefully peruse all the assignment instructions to understand what was expected of each submission. Overall, I found the content stimulating, interesting and easy to understand and remember. Online tutors were very responsive to questions I had, but then again, everything needed was only a mouse click away. The only thing was digging it back out again once you have gone over it. At times, I spent more time than I would have liked looking for content to revisit which is needed for the assignment, and if there was one improvement that could be made, it would be to have a keyword search which would take you directly to the Unit and Part that contains what you are looking for. Overall, it is a course I would happily recommend due to its self-paced style and the generous time allowance of six months to complete it.”

“Level 5 TEFL Course, really enjoyed it. My friend recommended and it was worth doing it as she managed to get work in Barcelona and I'm hoping to do that as well. Bit boring at times but it's a necessary evil.”

“I throughly enjoyed my experience with tefl academy. The course content was engaging and has left me with the confidence that I’d be able to teach a class of mixed abilities English. “Facing a career change at 55, I was bewildered by the sheer number of TEFL courses available. A friend told me she had completed her Level 5 TEFL Course with TTA, so I followed suit. This course was professional, informative and empowering. If you're thinking of completing this course: The online layout is user-friendly and logical, with lots of links for further reading (it's worth clicking on these links). Assignments are tough – set aside enough time for them, as they are essential for your teaching career. Great experience overall – thanks, TTA!”

“It is an easy course to follow and a great way to get an extra income. The people that run TEFL are incredibly friendly and helpful. I did want a bit more information on how to control and teach an online class during the course but otherwise the course was very informative and helpful.”

“I finished the Level 5 TEFL Course in the TEFL academy, I thought it would be hard. but it's fine, I passed all assignments from the first submission. I advise you to finish each assignement after you finish their units, don't leave it until you finish all units. because it will be pressure on you. please be aware it is a written material like you read a book, not a live session. it has activities and a test at the end of each unit.”

“I would like yo start this review saying that I found this course quite enjoyable and helpful. Even after finishing the last assignment I still found lots of tips and helpful ideas to get me started as an English teacher. The content and set up of the course is friendly and easy to understand, basically guides students step by step. The assignments might seem a bit long in my personal opinion, but then again, I understand that there needs to be some grading method and at the end it provides practice for real life classes. In general I can only say that I am really happy with my decision to go for this course! Thanks to the TELF Academy!!”

“I studied the Level 5 TEFL course online from my home in South Africa. Having the flexibility to do this course form home, and in my own time made a huge difference. The instructions and content were clear and well set out, so that at all times you understood what you needed to be doing, and how to do it. Some chapters were a little complex, and others a little dull, and just needed to be done. Others were very interesting and engaging. Now that I have this certification I will be able to work from anywhere online. Thats a very large positive for me.”
