“I have just completed the Level 5 online TEFL course (168 hours) - this course was very informative, good learning content. The assignments and Module tests were in line with the Module content. The online course was easily accessible and very user friendly. The weekend practical side of the course was facilitate hand-in-hand with the online theory modules. I thoroughly enjoyed completing this course, and will now move onto the short course for online teaching.”

“I chose to the 168hrs combined TEFL course and the whole experience was worth it. During the 20 hours practical course you get to meet great people and the instructor is very helpful. The online course is comprehensive and convenient. The information you learn there is insightful and practical. The assignments are challenging and you can learn a lot from them. The online tutors are also very helpful and informative, they guide you well and they give comprehensive advice when marking your assignments. I definitely recommend The TEFL Academy to anyone that's considering doing a TEFL course.”

“I have just completed the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) certification and absolutely loved the personal growth as I completed the well structured levels. The assignments really challenged me in creativity and knowing my audience. The short tests at the end of each unit were fun. Fitting this in during my hectic working life was a challenge however doable. I highly recommend this as a confidence builder to furthering my value to the marketplace.”

“Going into the TEFL course, I had no idea what to expect. I have never done an online course before so I was a bit skeptical as to how easy it was going to be to do this course completely online. Well now I think it's safe to say I did the right thing. Everything in the course is wonderfully designed and there is nothing I can think of that was overlooked or not explained well enough. The feedback I got whenever I asked a question was quick, thorough and very helpful. If anyone is considering teaching English overseas, I would definitely recommend this course and if possible do the combined course with the classroom experience as well. (This was not possible for me as I live more than 3 hours away from the nearest TEFL classroom in my country.) The online course can be done completely on your own time and all assignments can be done offline which means that if you are like me and do not have the best internet in the world, you can still do this course with ease. If you are still struggling with whether or not this is worth it, just do it. I can see now that I should've done it sooner.”

“Awesome learning with The TEFL Academy, completed both the combined Level 5 Teaching English as a Foreign Language (168 hours) and the Level 3 Teaching English to Young Learners. Material was relevant and easy to understand, tasks, tests and assignments were appropriate level and increased difficulty as we went along. Found the course interesting and challenging and would recommend anyone interested in teaching English to do this. Life changing and looking forward to great opportunities.”

“So really loved this course, Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs), much better than any other course I have ever done!! I would honestly recommend it!! Great feedback is given which helps you grow and develop and not just pass and move on!! True learning experience!! Have been recommending it to everyone looking into TEFL! The course contains everything and more needed to teach, as well as everything to get you actually teaching! I cant wait to proudly display my certificate when I get it! Im also excited to start my top up course soon! Just deciding which one as all the options are great! I will definitely try and do all of the top ups if I can! Great investment in your future! Even if you don’t end up teaching this course will help you be a better writer, reader and much more!”

“The TEFL Academy was an extremely refreshing breath of fresh, crisp air to both my partner and I - after nearly a year of not knowing what to do and stuck in uncertainty and fear for the future, the TEFL Academy was recommended and we jumped right in in a matter of weeks! After signing up we were eager and keen to see what the course had in store for us, and it was a journey that we shared with others, bonding over this new chapter in our lives no matter what age or background, only collective ambition and curiosity to see how we can apply all we have learnt. While we have yet to travel and/or teach, the TEFL Academy did more than show us to be excellent educators, but helped us to grow over 6 months.”

“The TEFL academy level 5 course has made me feel prepared to go out into the world and TEACH ENGLISH as a FOREIGN LANGUAGE! On a more serious note, I would like to say that the course content was excellent. Unlike other TEFL programs, which are rumoured to be 'a sure thing', this course is challenging. The assignments, in particular, helped consolidate all the information. I would highly recommend this course.”

“The TEFL Academy was one of the first sites I found, when researching which course to follow. I chose the TEFL Academy as I’d heard great things about their interactive online course and it was very thorough. The interactive activities are good at testing what you've learned as you progress through each lesson and the notepad activities are useful for those familiar with self-taught courses. Overall, I felt like there wasn't really much that the course didn't cover in the 160 hours or so it took to complete. If you are going through the lessons at a sensible pace and making the relevant notes, then the completion time for the course is accurate. The three assignments in the course test your ability to plan and implement lessons for a variety of learners of different ages and abilities. The admin were helpful when I had a few technical issues and I always got a reply from them within 24 hours. The tutors provided detailed feedback on each assignment and work was returned graded normally within 3-4 days. You were also able to carry on with the lessons in the next unit, while your work was away being graded. There is a good balance in the additional reading and bookmarks they share, between what they find useful and what they too find cringe-worthy and unhelpful for new teachers. The only extra thing I could think of could be some TEFL Academy made videos to give examples of the phonemic alphabet when working through the chart in one of the early lessons. This would be particularly useful to non-native English speakers doing this course. But, they do still provide links to the relevant videos online to help you through this. Overall, having heard other people talk about their TEFL courses, I think this one was a sound choice.”

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) and have gained a lot of knowledge that has built upon my previous teaching assistant classroom experience. From the start this course guided you without holding your hand, through each unit. I especially liked the way I was alerted to relevant parts of each unit that would be either looked at in more detail later or be used in an assignment. Every query was answered promptly and my reviews of assignments submitted were especially helpful for the next assignment, noting what I needed to improve upon or not. An amazing course that has opened up doors to the world. In Cambodia right now awaiting start in local school. Now I just want to try out my new teaching skills and get the children learning English.”

“I had an absolute blast completing my TEFL certificate through The TEFL Academy. The courseware is of superb quality, and I learnt things I have not learnt at any level in school or university. The feedback is quick & to the point, and multiple chances are given to pass the tests which eliminates the 'stress' element and really does focus on educating the student rather than merely testing them. “I greatly appreciated studying for my certification to teach English as a foreign/second language through The TEFL Academy. I found the course well structured and easy to follow. The content was explained very well, and the assignment too. If there was something I needed to ask, the tutor were great assistance and the ticket system worked very well. I got swift replies and great support. The classroom aspect for the course was a ton of fun, yet educational. Having no teaching experience, learning about the dynamics of teaching, class management and everything else, was presented in a fun way. There was also opportunity to practice what we have learnt and that was great. My mentor is fantastic. Knowledgeable about the field, he presented the course well and offered great advise. Overall, I loved the experience. I would definitely recommend it.”

“Very concise, organised and well put together. It should, however, be made clear to prospective students that a degree and experience are major criteria in finding online students as without these my husband has had no success. It has been a waste of a rather large sum of money after having been retrenched and retiring age. He has even done the Business English without success of finding students.”

“Having hit a crossroads in my life, hitting forty and recently retrenched after a good long career in marketing and event management. I decided to make a complete career twist and I started my Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) in August and completed it before the end of September, having so much time on my hands made it easier as I could set full study days. I found the course to be easy to navigate through, with tests at different sections to check that I was understanding the course and what would be required from me. Having not studied in many years, it took me some time to get back into the assignments and I landed up thoroughly enjoying every moment spent on the course and my assignments. Feed-back when needed was relevantly quick and assignments were marked and returned with good feedback and pointers from the markers. I would recommend TEFL Acadamy to any learner young or older due to the ease and the ability to study and complete your course through many different devices.”
