“Overall, I have had a fantastic experience with TEFL academy. Not only could I complete this course around my everyday work, but the work was interesting, the assignments were enjoyable to complete. Plus the support was there if I needed it. I have had a few courses conducted online over the last couple of years, but this was by far one of the better experiences I have had. I even learnt new things about my own first language I had never even thought about. I would highly recommend!”

“I followed the Level 5 TEFL Course (Qualifi) course and am very satisfied with it. The course was well structured and easy to follow and the communication with the help center was fast and effective. There are options to extend the course if needed so all in all very satisfied!”

“Doing the Level 5 TEFL course was an amazing experience. I found that the online platform is very easy to use. Not only was the coursework presented engagingly, the tutors always graded my assignments days before the expected time which I'm sure I, along with many others, really appreciated. I'm thankful for the course and all the opportunities it will provide for me in the future.”

“This academy offers the best course material that covers most topics related to teaching English. Each unit is well organised and you can always go back and re-read and do the activities again so you can get satisfied with the course. Their assignments are easy to do and they are enjoyable in that you get to experience how it is as a teacher to plan for a class.”

“The course is boring (ironic since it's prodominantly about how to make lessons effective and engaging for students) But it does the trick The most annoying thing is how long it's currently taking for them to send the PDF of my Certificate after my completion of the course.”

“I set out from day one, positive about doing a TEFL Course (even though I chose the 168 hours) well within the six months. Unfortunately I got very ill and for most of October last year I was unable to work on the course. After almost a six weeks’ absence, I basically started all over again, and this is when my stress levels went through the roof as I couldn’t always find what I was wanting to review before moving on (considering much of this terminology is specific to TEFL and new to me). I could not remember all the information straight away - HAD TO REVISE often) and had to wade through pages to find the right place. So if there is a criticism from my side, it has to do with the platform not being user friendly enough. I had to always go back to a specific unit and part, searching and opening lots of pages before finding what I was looking for. Busy students (and working against the six months’ clock) need keyword access to aid revision and ease of study. I also stressed to get through the work to reach the first assignment. Again, more transparency right at the start would’ve been useful. If I knew what I was getting for an assignment, I could’ve searched and kept material which would’ve been useful for the assignment throughout - e.g. images - which would’ve been a great timesaver. Also, one’s mind will start the process of collecting and processing specific information - storing it for an assignment - well in advance, which imo keeps the mind calm for full action once the required material for a specific assignment has been covered. As far as feedback from lecturers is concerned, I found their comments fair and helpful, and done well within the eight days suggested for a return of an assignment. - (student Margaretha Botha nee Menichini)”

“I have just completed the level 5 TEFL course. The thing I most liked about the course was that I could complete it within 6 months which gave me time to do other things. I found it tough but challenging. There is a lot of information to absorb but as I've said before, you have time to apply yourself in your own time. I also found that when I contacted the Academy, which was only twice, they were extremely helpful and encouraging. Really supportive. Another thing I really liked about the course was the feedback you got after completing each assignment. I would recommend this course to anyone who has the time and the discipline to commit themselves.”

“I did the Level 5 TEFL Course and it taught me everything I wanted to know and plenty of things I didn't expect to learn. It included how to teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, the International Phonetic Alphabet, and more English grammatical structures and tenses than I even knew existed (and I'm a native English speaker). I highly recommend this course for anyone who wants a qualification in teaching English as a foreign language.”

“I recently completed the Level 3 course. Overall, I enjoyed this course. It was straight forward, there never was any confusion regarding what to do on the two assignments and quizzes and this is always a huge advantage for online courses. Lastly, I also liked the fact that after marking the assignments, the tutors write a clear and constructive feedback and acknowledge the hard work you put in as a student.”
