“The Level 5 TEFL course is very good. It gives you a lot of information about how to teach English as a Foreign language. If you want to do the TEFL course, do it through TEFL Academy.”

“I just finished my Level 5 168 hours course in The TEFL Academy and I must say that it wasn't easy because of the homework. I had to take some time finishing each one of them because they're so rigorous that I had to look from time to time to the concepts, review, plan and apply. It was very challenging. After submission, the tutor gave comprehensive feedbacks which we very helpful. I think the online course will be very useful especially to new EFL teachers in the field.”

“10 stars!!! I completed the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 -hours). The course facilitators are so patient and helpful. I managed to do everything online without hesitation or fuss. My emails where always answered promptly if I needed anything. I was so impressed that I convinced one of my friends to start the course and she has no regrets. Thank you TEFL!”

“I completed the combined 168 hour course (online course and 20 hour classroom element) in February 2020 and would highly recommend this company! The online course covers a lot of content and the classroom element gives you a chance to demonstrate what you have learned which greatly improved my confidence in front of a class. My only criticism is that once your enrolment ends you lose access to everything including the final module on job guidance and cv writing, so if you don’t plan on getting a job straight away this can be a problem.”

“I would really like to appreciate the effort taken to design this course. Passing a level 5 (168 hours) TEFL course was absolutely beneficial for me as a teacher since It had a great impact on improving my lesson plans and now I can manage to organize my lessons more appropriately. This course gave me an insight on how to develop my own material in a way to be authentic. Eliciting the answers was another mesmerizing lesson I have learned to apply in my classes. all in all, it is absolutely thorough and complete in covering all aspects of teaching which are essential for a teacher to master. Therefore, this course plays a key role in improving a teacher's career.”

“Level 5 TEFL course (168 hours). The course is clear, well constructed and thought out. It is a thorough course covering all aspects of teaching and teacher attitude within the classroom. The course covers aspects from lesson planning to getting the best out of ones students on s friendly but firm way. For anyone wanting to be more than an accomplished teacher, this is the course to do. The personal of the TEFL academy, administrators to tutors, are excellent. They are friendly, always willing to help, and quick to resolve all enquiries or problems. This course was a pleasure to do.”

“This course was worth the money. This 168-hr course covered a large scope of topics related to teaching ESL, much of which I've been able to put to use in planning lessons, class activities, and student management. It is designed to be convenient, touching on basic concepts, and being predominantly online. Online inquiries were answered within 48 hours. I feel that this course informed me about the basics of teaching English to various groups, and gave me the confidence to instruct material in classroom environments. The class was very practical, and the instructors (Paul) very helpful. The TEFL Academy was built a foundation to start my dream career as a teacher. With the knowledge I learned, I am more informed about next steps and education needed for my career path.”

“I found the TEFL Academy course content very well structured, each unit looked at a different element and I learnt a lot about English as a Foreign Language as well as teaching approaches. The face to face taught element of the course was really valuable, it was interesting and inspiring to meet other students and the teaching practices were really practical. I came away from the weekend with much more clarity about grammar and raised confidence from the teaching practices. I really enjoyed the different assignments and valued how practical they were in learning the skills of lesson planning. The tutor support and assignment feedback was very useful and focussed, helping me to see what I had done well and where I needed to increase my understanding. I found the online platform very simple to use and accessible. It would be useful to have the option of having a hard copy of the course material to refer back to in the future. Overall I found the course very accessible and comprehensive with good support and I feel prepared and excited to begin teaching.”

“Enjoyed the course very much. The phonics section was very interesting. I learnt so much. The lesson plan section was also very valuable. I enjoyed the assignments and the feedback was very relevant and helpful. The section on the history of English teaching was a bit boring. A little frustrating waiting so long for certificate when I need to start teaching as soon as possible.”

“I have just completed the Combined 168-hour course with the TEFL academy, plus the extra module on 1 to 1 and online teaching. Not being your 'average' TEFL student, I was a little concerned that I would feel like a granny on the course, but I needn't have worried. I did the weekend course before I had done much of the online part and I found the teaching practice quite challenging, even though I have taught sports and worked as a technical trainer in the past, but I have never worked as a classroom teacher. The online course was straightforward and detailed and provided links to a plethora of resources that I am sure will be invaluable in my future teaching. The assignments were far from trivial and more time-consuming to complete than I expected. One small criticism, the course encourages the use of quite informal language, with more contractions than I would use in everyday life, particularly in writing. While this is fine for conversational English, it does not feel appropriate for written work.”
