“I studied the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) and every second of it was worth-it. The information was presented in a logical order and easy to follow. The online activities kept me engaged and tested my knowledge of the concepts throughout the duration of the course. I would highly recommend the course to anyone who is interested to teach abroad and experience life outside of their comfort zone. ”

“I completed the 168 hour course. Found the on line section really easy to follow. When i did need to ask a question, got a really quick and informative response. The 20 hour weekend classroom section was great and allowed me to get a real feel for how an actual class should be conducted. This was very beneficial to me as I had never taught a class previously.”

“I learned more than I thought I would teaching English as a second language, lesson planning, and phonics. The company also helped me through a cancer diagnosis. I was allowed to pause my education as I received treatment. This took a lot of stress off of me allowed me to concentrate on recovery. I can now move forward with my dream of teaching abroad.”

“The 120-hour online course is a comprehensive, detailed course that covers everything you need to know about teaching English as a foreign language from grammar teaching to pronunciation teaching as well as teaching different types of lessons (listening, speaking, writing, reading). Having completed this course, I am now a lot more confident about teaching English. It helped me improve my skills greatly. The end-of-course assignments provide you with a great opportunity to apply what you learned as they're challenging enough and require you to use your creativity to create a lesson plan from scratch. The instructors' comments are very helpful as they inform you exactly what you did or didn't do correctly and their response time is very fast.”

“I recently completed the 168 hour course and enjoyed it very much. The course is very informative and well set up. The different chapters follow each other and build upon the previous information learnt. I very much enjoyed the 20 hour weekend workshops as it went over the course and provided extra materials and feedback.”

“The TEFL Academy was incredible and I would 100% recommend the course for anyone that wants to learn how to teach English or even for just some bonus skills! I found the course extremely thorough and I will take away from it; a lot of practical advice to use in the classroom and even just travelling! The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and catered to a lot of different learning styles in the class. I found the face to face section engaging, informative and a lot of fun. The online section was fantastic too- and covered a lot of content in an interesting way with a lot of online support and feedback. I loved this course and would recommend it to anyone.”

I have completed the course now and can say that I'm very glad I decided on this specific course. The material is up-to-date and relevant and of a high standard. “I was really pleased with the online Level 5 TEFL course (168 hours, young learners included, bonus course) with the TEFL Academy. Additionally, I signed up for the "hands-on/in-class" course of 20 hrs. The entire course was just the right amount of challenge and full of so much information, I really feel like I am prepared to go out and join forces with the teachers of the world! I felt that the "in-class" portion was very beneficial to get a better feel for how to plan lessons and all the little details needed. The teacher was very experienced and knowledgable. The online course was so interesting, I just wanted to keep going! The only complaint I have is the 1st assignment was a bit confusing, but the support team helped guide me in the right direction and were always quick to respond (assignments felt much easier afterwards). Also, the timeframe as to when you receive your final marks and certificate got a bit complicated, but again, the support team helped facilitate everything into a more timely manner and smoothed out the kinks quickly. Thanks again TEFL Academy! Overall, great course!”
