“Stone and garden were fine to deal wit, straight forward and no fuss. The shipping company they use is a different story! First of all no contact was made by the courier's priory to the delivery date, only the initial invoice front Stone and Garden with an estimated date, no delivery turns up on the date, I contact the couriers to be told they don’t have any info on my order and I’m transferred to 3 different company’s before anyone knows anything about my order, and then promised it’ll be with me the following day AM. 5pm the next day nothing! In chase the couriers again to be told it’s on the wagon ready for deliver the next day Between 10-12……nothing once again. I have to chase them again for them to again have no order with my reference or post code, then transferred to 2 different people to be told they have my order and it’ll be with me the following day! Not holding my breath my order finally turns up 3 days late. Not sure what happened by Pallet plus was a joke to deal with. Product from supplier was great……. Delivery not so much.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review regards your recent order. Sorry that the UPN depot in your area let you down multiple times in failing to deliver on your requested delivery date. We do aim to make all of our deliveries on the desired delivery date, however, there can be occasions where this is affected by weather conditions, haulage delays and stock availability etc. We have already forwarded on your feedback to UPN who'll pass this onto the depot directly. We're glad however you're happy with Dove Grey delivered.

“Product arrived on time as arranged, product met specification as advertised. Driver was friendly and professional. I would use Stone and Garden again and recommend them to others.”

“Superb value for money my only criticism the stone is delivered on a pallet and if you have a gravel drive the courier just dumps it on the road”

“I have used the stone & garden company before, they were good to deal with for our garden projects. Reasonably priced and delivered on the day chosen. I would have given 5 stars, but the person who delivered it dropped the stones off at the bottom of our drive, so I had to drive round it to park up, luckily the neighbours didn’t park their cars at the bottom. It also meant we had to make more trips to the pile with our wheelbarrow.”

“The item arrived on time and as promised, the only negative, hence the four stars, the dispatch emails and updates are lacking. They send an invoice with an expected date and that's it until it arrives.”

“Everything arrived on time and text messages kept us informed. We ordered chippings for the garden which are just what was wanted. A few days later we ordered another bag. Unfortunately, when they arrived the stones were unwashed so a different colour although they were the same stone.”

“The goods, and delivery process is fine. Just that when the pallet was delivered it wasn’t lifted high enough, and left scraped drag marks on the driveway & path outside my house. These haven’t washed away with rain either.”

“Good price compared to many well known brands. Good choice of delivery options. Only disappointed for me was there was a fait amount of sand within the gravel I had ordered which spoilt the look of the stones. Also never got a 2 hour time slot on the day, so had no idea when the item was arriving that day.”

“The only thing stopping this being a five-star review was that my two packs got separated during the delivery process and the bag of bigger stones arrived two days after the smaller ones which meant that I couldn't really start building my pond until a couple of days after I expected to. The delay was dealt with well once I advised the company but IO could have done without it in the first place.”

“I have used The Stone and Garden Company several times for stone clippings and subbase material. The online process is quick and easy, the products are good, the price is fair. Unfortunately on this most recent order, the experience was let down by a grumpy delivery driver who decided to moan about, the delivery process, the pallet barrow, why didn't I order from somewhere that used HIAB cranes to unload, his route, his company sending to help a colleague who had broken down. Hence only giving four stars when in the past it's been five. A good service and product let down by the 'face" on delivery”

Hi David, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, it's lovely to hear from repeat customers. We outsource the deliveries to the Palletways Network so unfortunately we have no control over the depots/drivers so I will certainly be passing on your feedback to the delivery depot so they speak to the delivery driver on how his mood effected the experience of your order. A lot of aggregate supplier use a tail-lift / pump truck delivery method rather than hi-ab/crane which the driver would be well aware of, sorry you caught him on what was a bad day for him! Hope this doesn't stop you from ordering from us in the future!
