“This stuff is right up my street, as a robot wars veteran (team Crushtacean), I'm still tinkering. One of our weaknesses is that the 2 wheel drive is prone to over steering by as much as 90 degrees (too much angular momentum). I'm hoping the solution is fitting encoders and using a PID feedback loop. Enter microprocessors. I had some success using a PIC processor but struggled with the three PID gain values. Enter Raspberry Pi Pico 2! - I have great expectations. Using a Display_2 pack, I'm hoping to set the gains dynamically and be able to see the discrepancies between actual motor RPM and expected. So far have the VScode IDE working (not that brilliant as I often have to restart it to clear red wriggley lines used to indicate non-existant compile errors, but it will do)”

“I ordered a Pi zero 2w to replace the zero in my MMDVM hotspot, The Pi arrived next day and well packed, I installed it and the improvement was amazing, I would recommend anyone with a Pi zero hotspot to upgrade to a Pi zero 2w.”

“All present and correct. Arrived quickly but Royal Mail damaged the box and have been messing me about on deliveries lately, often leaving a "You appeared to be out" card without ringing or knocking, so I'll probably stick to spending more than the £120 limit for using that type of postage and just use DHL, in future.”
