“When I write a review, I tend to try to make a good, balanced report focusing on positives and negatives. In the case of this order, I simply can't find anything negative to say, so unfortunately this review is not very balanced. The ordering process was simple, the delivery time was great, the packaging was of a high standard, and was low on non-recyclable materials. The contents were exactly as ordered and worked first time. If I had one slight negative (and it would probably be a little unfair) it was to do with the active cooler in conjunction with the official (red and white) case. In order to make everything fit, it was necessary to remove the small case fan from the case, in favour of the active cooling fan attached to the motherboard. There were no instructions that I could find that explained this, I also had a few bits and pieces left over. Like I say, this is an unfair 'negative' because I knew this before it arrived, having watched a couple of 'unboxing' reviews and these explained the removal of the case fan. For my own purposes (to use the RPi5 as a media server using LibreELEC), it was necessary to re-image the included MicroSD and this was my biggest problem as I did not have a multi-card adapter, so had to dust off an older laptop with an SD card slot and use that to re-image the MicroSD. Again, not a criticism of PI Hut in any way. Excellent seller excellent product, great service. From what I saw of the built-in OS, it all seemed very straightforward, particularly if you've used a Linux Distro before. Will definitely use again - probably when the RPi6 comes out.”
