Good price. The red cable attached to the Raspberry Pi Keyboard has holes in its plastic jacket where we can see the wires. Even though the keyboard is well manufactured, I doubt that the cable will last and that's a shame.

Quick delivery and products as described. Only issue is they will not ship units with a coin cell battery to Scotland and do not offer any options to do so. I suggested removing the battery and shipping, but this was not acceptable either. Very disappointing.

Let me first say that I have shopped with The PiHut before and had no problems. This review only applies to my latest order. Order was for x2 USB-Serial to TTL FTDI convertors. I thought I had ordered closed-board convertors with a length of USB Type A cable. What arrived were two open-board convertors with Type A connectors but no cable. A small thing really but now I need two Male-to-Female Type A cables and board enclosures (probably best described as insulating tape :-) ). I did indeed raise a query (#151477) as to whether I had just read the item description wrongly but no answer yet. This review is in response to an e-mail request to post an order review from The PiHut owner Jamie. Three Stars : - good packing - swift order fulfillment - good website with a good range of components Two Missing Stars : - wrong product delivered - slow response to query

Order dispatched in good order. Packing was a little loose allowing contents to rattle around but goods arrived in decent condition.

This is my second time buying a Raspberry Pi from PiHut. I'm yet to have an issue with any of their products or customer service and would hapilly buy from them again. To get to five stars, I would like the option to be able to cancel an order before it has been dispatched. Edit: I've revised this review down to three stars. Having gone out of my way to write a review, I do not want to recieve further emails asking me to leave another review.

Question the charge for next day delivery given it did not arrive for two days but the website did not offer another option

The items were fine, it's a good way to get Pi in eastern europe without paying 2-3x the amount. That said however, I very much DON'T appreciate item showing as costing £46 magically turning into a £48 item during checkout.

The delivery could have been shorter but I believe it was within the promised 10 days, but I recieved it really at the latest days.

The performance improvement from using the Raspberry Pi M2 Hat is tremendous. However the thread on the drive attachment screw hole was poorly done. I had to thread the screw from underneath to rethread the hole...

The correct products I received were great, however I was sent the incorrect case than the one I ordered. The customer service team were very helpful and sent me shipping labels for a replacement quickly.

It was easy to place an order. I was disapointed that you do not ship directly to Israel as I had to use a 3rd party to deliver the package.

A great product but let down by DHL. The product should have arrived on Monday but didn't. Then got a message to collect the parcel on Tuesday, but the shop couldn't release it without a code. DHLs text messages did not include this code. Many hours of arguing later I eventually got the code & collected the product. Please change your delivery company, I wouldn't order again if you continue to use DHL. Paying extra for next day delivery & then not getting it due to the shipping company was a huge disappointment. Having to argue with a shopkeeper about releasing my package was just embarrassing.

The ordering and delivery was great. The package arrived quickly after the bank holiday weekend. I ordered 4 18650 lithium batteries. I am a first time user of these cells. The wrap was torn at the positive end of one of the batteries, and being ignorant I was not concerned. When I inserted it into a single cell battery holder, there was a short. The battery cooked and melted the terminal of the battery holder clean off. I managed to get it into the freezer to cool it down. I was not aware of the danger of a torn wrap. I'm pretty sure I did not do it as I am pretty careful with my stuff. The battery has 3.48V. I have yet to test the battery to see if it will take a charge. Other than that I'm quite pleased and probably would use Pi-Hut again.

It’s been two weeks since I placed my order and 8 business days in-transit. I still have not received my package. I cannot evaluate the product yet. The shipping is incredibly slow.

I ordered a SparkFun BlueSMiRF v2 and a PL2303 USB UART Module so that I could configure the BlueSMIRF via USB from Windows as described in a SparkFun video. The item arrived promptly without issue. The PiHut web site says the PL2303 USB UART Module "Supports windows 7/8/8.1/10/11" however it turns out it does not automatically install a driver like most devices do these days. The web site points to the waveshare wiki which tells you download an eight year old file called PL2303_Windows_Driver.7z. To open this you then need to install something that understands the 7z compression format. Once you open the file it turns out it doesn't contain the driver but some information about checking compatability with Windows 8! I asked PiHut for support and they just said ask Wireshare support so instead I looked around on forums and found I actually needed drivers from https://www.prolific.com.tw/US/supportDownload.aspxFileType=56&FileID=150&pcname=PL2303&Page=0 (username GUEST password GUEST) I extracted the files from the zip file and updated the driver using files in WIN10_DCHU/PL2303G_DCHU__DFx_Win10_20H2_20H1_RS5_v5.1.3.2_20220413_ML_Driver. I then looked in device manager to find the number of the COM port named "Prolific PL2303GS USB Serial Port". I opened it in a terminal window using Mobaxterm with a baud rate of 115200 and connected to the Sparkfun Bluesmirf v2. I then configured it using instructions here https://docs.sparkfun.com/SparkFun_BlueSMiRF-v2/at_commands/#at-commands. It would be nice if the PiHut company provided up to date and correct documentation for this product rather than directing purchasers to irrelevant and out of date information.

From ordering on my laptop (read on for my Smartphone experience) to delivery it was slick... On my smartphone all was good up to the payment stage and then it all went crazy with bad reditioning of the screen after selecting card payments with the almost impossible prospect of entering details then the switching automatically to klarna payment method made it impossible to complete the purchase. This was using latest version of Edge on Android 14, trying Chrome browser had same effects... Needs investigating and sorting...

The SD card slot did need to have the case filled to be sure the SD card would go in without bending it. The PI GUI fan recomendatation of 80C is too high and my Pi crashed before the fan kicked in. The terminal default setting is 60C which is way better. I purchased the 1GB memory model that was a big mistake. The machine often runs out of memory and CPAN often crashes when trying to build multiple modules. If you build them one by one you can get round this. Likewise the same issue when compiling in C. I would recomend that the minimum if you are going to build anything with a compiler is 2Gb and 4Gb would be better.

I purchased a Raspberry Pi 5 Starter Kit as a gift, so I'm unable to provide feedback on the product's quality. However, delivery outside of the UK incurs high costs and significantly delays.
