“We absolutely love our new bed! Went for a super king size Hamilton iron framed bed in white. Team were very helpful and prompt with email enquiries, delivery easy to organise too. It was very easy to put together. Finally have our dream bed in our forever home. Would highly recommend.”

“Overall, really love the bed and had a great experience with purchasing and delivery. Unfortunatly, after about 12 months, started to have issues with discolouration and scratching on the brass parts of the frame. Looks like the bed knobbs had a weird coating on them that hasn't reacted well.”

Hi Sarah, This certainly should not be happening. We coat our genuine brass in a lacquer to ensures it does not tarnish, as has happened here. It appears on this occasion that the lacquer may have failed. I notice this is on the top part of your bed knob and everything below is as new. This tarnishing can happen if wet towels are continually hung on the knob, so it would be interesting to know if this is the case here. Either way, I've contacted you to arrange getting these parts replaced under your 5 year warranty. Best wishes, The Original Bedstead Company

“Over the moon with the quality of this bed. So far we cannot fault it. Went together easily except the knobs were a bit tricky. Looks far more expensive that it costs. Love it”

“I couldn't be happier with my Athena satin gloss single bed and mattress. It's such a beautiful design and is perfect for my new bedroom. My husband has recently had a hip replacement and with all the bolsters and pillows needed to manage his new sleeping requirements, I had to move into our spare bedroom. The delivery was well-managed, and assembly was easy. This is such a professional and well-organised company I am happy to recommend their products. It made our lives easier in what was a slightly challenging time.”

“Matthew at OBC, top notch customer care when the courier company kept changing the delivery and eventually a no-show. Matthew sorted out the situation which was frustrated beyond belief by the courier - our beautiful Ashley bed-frame arrived direct from OBC instead and assembled by David, who did a great job. The bed and under-drawer is fantastic, we'll definitely order from OBC again when looking to buy another.”

“I visited the Corby site with the intention of buying a bed frame only. I was so impressed that I ended up purchasing a mattress too. A massive thank you to the lovely young lady who was on hand to assist. She is a credit to your team. The bed frame is excellent quality and I have never slept so well. I went for the Selkirk brass bed frame and the silk mattress firm. Would highly recommend 😁”

“We had an amazing experience with The Original bed Co. Not only are their products incredibly high quality but also their customer services worked perfectly as well. We were moving houses and the team was very accommodating and helpful, allowing us to find a date for dispatch that ensured we would get our bed at the right time. We love our cotton mattress, especially the fact that it is made by hand in the UK with high-quality materials. Our bedframe is sturdy, well made and looks very nice in our bedroom. Compared to other more pricey not necessarily better alternatives I would 100% recommend this company.”

“The quality of the bed is beyond my expectations - especially for the price. It was really easy to put together and it had all the tools you will need to will need to assemble it. My only grouch is they never update you regarding expected delivery date. They say about 8 weeks but I calledl them on the sixth week and they said they could deliver now. If you have any problems, ring the lovely, friendly people in the Northern shop because the London shop has two very precious men working there who are unhelpful and sometimes rude ... they do not realise that they are only bed salesmen and mere mortals like the rest of us.”
