“Having recently purchased a late victorian guest house in Blackpool, I wanted to find a period bed frame for the rooms. I spent a lot of time searching the internet and found the original bedstead company. The choice available and price points exceptional. I ordered a single Edwardian bed in Matt black as a test bed and it is perfect!! It was very easy to put together and very good quality I am so pleased with it that I am definitely going to swap the other beds in our guest house for the Edwardian frame. The customer services were friendly and down to earth I'm very happy with my experience of your company and look forward to completing my bed collection.”

“I expected quality & wasn't disappointed. The Olivia bedframe is a classic design, stylishly simple & comes with 2 height settings. The sprung slats have even made my old mattress feel more comfortable. Easy to assemble, it doesn't squeak or creak at all, and my 6ft 5" partner appreciates the low foot end. All efforts were made to ensure delivery was at a time convenient to me & packaging was good to avoid damage in transit. I highly recommend both the frame & the OBC. Sweet dreams!”

“I needed a bed frame quickly and spoke directly with the Original Bedframe company sales staff. They were very helpful in confirming a day for delivery, and even went to the warehouse to confirm that the bed was in stock and available. The bed was easy to assemble and looks great!”

“Tubing junctions not fully welded, or filled- leaving open slits. Both side frames curved downwards, probably as caused by not taking measures to prevent bowing when welding slat housings. One leg of pillow end bedstead curved inwards, out of straight. Overall, disappointing quality. I welcome a call fro a representative of The Original Bedstead Co. Julian Morrison-Little. “Excellent quality bed and professional, friendly customer service and build team. Very happy with the product. It took longer than anticipated to upholster so not quite 5 stars, but otherwise I can't fault The OBC!”

“I am very pleased with the bed and mattress. The instructions were easy to follow and it didn't take long to put the bed frame together. However, when the bed and mattress were delivered I was surprised that there was only one delivery person, and that he was unable to help take the items upstairs. If I had been on my own I wouldn't have been able to move the mattress. It should be made clear during the order process that items can only be delivered into a hallway. If there was a choice between ordering items from yourselves or a company that would be prepared to carry them to where they were needed, I would choose the former.”

“The quality of the beds ais really super and we are very pleased indeed with them BUT the wrong slats were sent with the wrong bed and we had to have a second delivery of slats and the two beds we ordered are in fact slightly different in construction - they did deliver the corect slats very quickly and both Matthew and Tanya were very efficient and helpful. However once the mattresses are on that does not detract from the finished product.”

“I bought the Olivia double bed and Juno one mattress and am really pleased with the whole experience. The delivery man was very helpful and on time and I managed to assemble the bed on my own with the aid of a few piles of books for support. It's so comfortable. The mattress is sumptuously deep and I can't remember having such a good nights sleep on such a pretty bed. 5 stars Original Bedstead Company. I would recommend to anyone.”

“I was overall very happy dealing with The Original Bedstead Company. Tanya was very helpful, and we're delighted with the bed. It looks great and was easy to put together. The only issue I had was with the delivery - I had requested Saturday delivery, which was agreed. However the courier they used contacted me on Friday afternoon, saying they were outside my house and didn't work on Saturdays, meaning I had to leave work early to run home and accept the delivery. Despite that, I am happy I dealt directly with the company - I got a great bed at a great price!”

“The bed was “in stock” when I placed the order so was expecting a quick delivery. I then received an e-mail to say that there was a part of it that was out of stock and it would be up to two weeks. 5 weeks later, with no additional communication I finally got an e-mail to say it was ready to be delivered. I live in a flat on the 4th floor with a lift. I thought the delivery driver would deliver the bed to my front door. Sadly not the case. I had to take it from the back of the lorry myself and get it into my flat with no help from the delivery driver. He basically was just a driver. The bed itself is nice, took a while to put together. The bed isn’t overly expensive and this is reflected in the quality.”
