“The bed is great, packaged beautifully. But there were a lot of things that could be done better. This was a very expensive purchase, bought online. I received an online confirmation of my payment and delivery date, 8-10 weeks and that was it. I telephoned to confirm that the order was in progress, the person was very helpful, 8-10 weeks as advertised. I called a second time at 10 weeks, again very helpful, delivery was scheduled for 11 weeks, as I was in Scotland so that takes a bit longer! You need to up your communication instead of customer prompting everything. A 'thank you for your order and here's what will happen now...' would be a good addition. The delivery company were helpful when I called them, but I missed my first chosen delivery slot as their online system for confirmation didn't work. It's a big purchase, you need to make the process more personal and professional.”

“The Original Bed Company made and delivered our beautiful new brass bed in October and it looks perfect in our old cottage. It was easily put together, we only had to ask one question which was promptly answered. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a quality brass bed at a sensible price which will be an heirloom for your children. The only problem is that we have one bed and three children…”

“A great company to deal with from the very beginning. We visited the showroom in London and Jamyang looked after us extremely well. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and made our decision process that much easier. The bedstead (Olivia) and the mattresses (Juno wool -2x3ft zipped) arrived within 2 weeks (sooner than was promised), and delivery was very efficient. Most importantly, the bed is really comfortable and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Original Bed Company if you're looking for a good quality product at a reasonable price.”

“Delivered in good time and well packaged and protected. Easy to put up and seems well built. Excellent to have a choice of two heights, though the lowest is higher than my previous metal bed frame. I would buy again, recommended.”

“Great service, bed arrived swiftly and looks super, exactly as I had hoped. The mattress is very comfortable too. I am deducting one star for the assembly instructions in respect to the optional drawers which are at the end of the instructions and require the bed to be semi dismantled in order to retrofit the drawers. Other than that, I love my new bed.”

“The service was excellent with a time slot given and then updates on the day and a call from the driver when he was 30 minutes away, perfect. Happy with the bed, easily assembled albeit a bit time consuming. The storage drawers are spacious, highly recommended”

“We bought a bed from The Original Bed Company nearly twenty years ago. It is still giving us a good night's sleep every night. When we needed to replace our spare bed it was obvious where we should go. The new bed arrived promptly, was easy to assemble and looks elegant in our spare bedroom. We hope it'll give our guests as many good night's sleep as our original one.”

“The entire purchase went well. My only complaint is my bed was bent during transport. I was able to mostly straighten it out; however, it is less than ideal for a bed that costed over $1000. I love the bed.”

“My bed is absolutely wonderful and I am completely delighted with it. I paid extra so my bed could be delivered to my bedroom and I could assemble and sleep in it, having just moved in to my new home. However, the couriers who delivered the bed refused to take it up (they didn't even try, or look at my stairs, they left in a hurry saying it was "not company policy"). I then had to sleep on the floor for over a week before the Original Bed Company could send someone to help me and assemble it. I was charged extra for this service. So, if ordering a bed from this company, make sure you get a guarantee that your bed is delivered where you want it. The bed itself is fine, but the company weren't terribly sympathetic to my plight, charged me extra for my inconvenience and made me wait a week/10 days before sending someone to help me( he was very good).”
