“My beautiful new bed was dispatched & delivered within 10days of ordering online. It was simple to put together and is very sturdy and strong. It looks exactly like it did on the online photos. I am ver happy with the purchase & would highly recommend the original bedstead company.”

“When I opened the boxes my heart sank seeing so many parts and fixings (screws, bolts, nuts) etc. However this was just the start of our problems. The instructions were not fit for purpose. Illustrations were inconsistent such that pieces were shown one way round in one illustration and then another way round in the next one. The parts were incorrectly (and inconsistently) referred to by number - i.e. the same part was referred to by two different part numbers at different stages of the instructions. But the biggest issue of all was that the struts/mattress support design bore no resemblance to the instructions. I telephoned customer service who were also confused. They admitted the warehouse had changed the bed design but the instructions hadn't been updated to reflect this. In other words the instructions were for a totally different design. In fact they told me they didn't have any instructions for our design and had to talk me through it. At this point it become clear the fixings packs also hadn't been updated as we didn't have enough of any one type of nuts/bolts to assemble it. We had to improvise ending up with odd parts used and many pieces left over. I let customer service know but instead of responding they stopped communicating with us. No apology, no offer to check the installation or to send out new fixings.”

“Ordered by phone on a Tuesday. Told to save money by not paying for bed to be built as its so easy. It was!! Delivered on the Saturday, 2 hours early!!! A very stress free experience. Am recommending to everyone. Thank you Original Bedstead Company. So professional.”

“Two king size iron bedsteads from the Original Bedstead Company, an Edwardian and an Ashley, both in ivory. Both wonderful, fairly easy to assemble, sturdy, no squeaking when in use, deliverers took the heavy packages upstairs for us (there is a lot of packaging), they look so pleasing in our Edwardian house. Excellent customer service, too.”

“The service was excellent, all staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the assembly instructions. However the bed is so beautifully engineered that it went together easily. It is extremely sturdy and looks fabulous.”

“I bought the Olivia bed. It is sturdy and attractive. I managed to assemble it on my own ,although it would be easier with 2. The slats are thick but don't fit snugly into their holding slot(maybe they are not supposed to , anyway}.”

“Speedy delivery, on time and very helpful chaps from Arrow. We received a beautifully made glossy cream Selkirk bed. Very straightforward to assemble and is solid as a rock with no creaks. Very pleased. Will recommend and definitely use again.”
