“An incredibly handsome bed. just what we wanted. The under storage drawers are super handy as well (as it’s a smallish room). The delivery was very straightforward as well and they even unboxed some of the items to get them up the stairs. The self assembly was mostly straightforward, though I panicked thinking half the bolts were missing, even though it does state in the instructions that they are fitted into the frame!”

“I stayed in a lovely B & B in Somerset in May, and slept on a bed which was so comfortable that I asked the owner about the mattress. She had bought it quite recently from The Original Bed Company, so when I got home I decided to replace my rather elderly mattress with a new one from OBC. It is excellent, with just the right level of support, and obviously very well made. Full marks also to the delivery man, who carried the mattress upstairs for me - much appreciated.”

“I love the Ballina bed. My son said it’s as solid as a tank. The bed was easy to assemble and only took maybe 30min. We did find the full size bed is about four inches narrower than my new Serra full size mattress. The mattress is designed for platform use and width of frame made no difference.”

“I can highly recommend The OBC! I ordered a white super king size Tulsk iron bed frame, it was in stock and was delivered promptly. I had a phone call from the driver when he was half hour away giving me eta. The bed frame is strong, sturdy, very well made and easy to ensemble. I would definitely recommend getting the under bed draws, they are fabulous! Large, roomy, much strong that I thought they might be. They simply fit under the bed frame and are a fantastic storage facility. Several years ago a purchased a double bed frame, from the Carrie range, that is still as good as the day I bought it, (now in the spare room) so when we decided to size up to a super king, The Original Bed Company was the only place I was prepared to look. You won’t be disappointed!”

“This is our 3rd bed from OBC and this one seems even better, the other 2 were purchased some years ago. In the intervening period we rubbed some paint off 1 of the older beds but a quick call to OBC resulted in the correct colour being sent for free. We didn't need to think twice about where to buy a new bed when we decided to replace 1 of the earlier beds which had been given to our daughter. The new bed is excellent and has already been admired by everyone that has seen it.”

“We are very pleased with our bed and mattress. We ordered the Athena king frame, which we bought with the mattress to save £100. Initially, I only ordered the frame and was going to get a mattress elsewhere, but for the convenience of having them both delivered at the same time and having £100 taken off the total value, it made sense to order them both together. Ringing up to change the order was no inconvenience for the company either. I have recommended the company and their beds to friends already.”

“Lovely bed and mattress, surprised at the good quality for the price frankly. Very robust bed, great design, looks good quality as well as feels it. Mattress (the wool one) is brilliant, very comfortable. The only reason it’s 4 not 5 stars is because the slats are a manufactured material not pure wood, which I would have preferred”

“I’m delighted with my bed and mattress. I believe the discount when purchased together good value. The best thing about a wool mattress is that it can be recycled eventually. I’ll put mine in the compost! I’m keen to know whether I can purchase under bed storage units as I’d missed them in my initial search but they look to be a very good idea.”

“The bed looks very good, and fitted together well. It feels solid and does not squeak. Most happy with it. Given the price is somewhat less than others, I think the quallity is very good. Also helpful to have a showroom out of London. I suspect the assembly instructions were a little confusing, but that is minor. Likewise, I am most happy with the mattress.”

“Absolutely delighted with the quality and look of our bed. We enquired by telephone about delivery time prior to ordering and were reassured by the confidence expressed by the knowledgeable respondent that it would be delivered on time...and it was. The materials and finish are first class and it has been admired by family/friends. The frame is rock solid and the wooden struts provide perfect support to our top quality mattress. I can be very fussy when buying and the fact that it has met, and probably exceeded my expectations, is credit to The Original Bed Company. Price was very fair also given the quality and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.”
