“We bought a Virginia bedstead in 2009 and recently noticed some issues with the slat supports (and on a cosmetic note, tarnishing of the brass knobs). I contacted the Original Bed Company without any great expectations as the purchase was 15 years ago. However, I was pleasantly surprised as the customer service was excellent. The slat issue was fixed and I was able to purchase replacement knobs. The bed is now in good condition again and will easily last another 15 years. If we need to buy another bed we will definitely be considering one from the Original Bed Company.”

“The Original Bed Company not only has wonderful quality products but also fantastic customer service. They offered helpful advise over the phone and via email and custom made the twin beds’ headboards and footboards to the size we needed for the room. They are beautifully made and easy to build. I highly recommend this fantastic company.”

“The bed originally arrived with a faulty part but The OBC immediately arranged for an engineer to visit and rectify the issue. The bed is of great quality and the service received was second to none and we would definitely buy from them again.”

“I was anxious for delivery since I was ordering from the United States, but delivery was seamless and the bed was in perfect condition. Assembly was easy and didn't take very long. The bed is so beautiful and hopefully will be something I can pass down to my children. I'm so happy I found The Original Bed Co.”

“The most perfect timeless bed. Very sturdy and two height settings to suit your needs. I'm obsessed and will certainly last to match any colour scheme change. Had tonnes of compliments, would 100% recommend!”

“After being a bit sceptical due to not seeing the bed in person, not knowing the company and wondering why the price was so low on comparison to some competitors, I bit the bullet and ordered this bed. Needless to say we are super happy with the bed, the style is lovely and it was not hard to put together. The only reason I have subtracted one star is because it creaks quite a bit and it started shortly after getting it and assembling it. All in all comfy bed, quick delivery and good service we are really happy with it”

“Absolutely delighted with my 2 bed mattress and headboard which I ordered. Delivery date and communication around my orders was excellent. On the day of delivery there was clear communication on my delivery time slot, and the offloading to my bedrooms was excellent. Highly recommend. Absolutely delighted, mattresses are so comfy.”

“This is the for time of using The Original Bed Company and I have been very impressed with every aspect of their service and product. The folks on the phone were super helpful and friendly and the bed came with clear instructions and lots of packaging to protect it. Would highly recommend them to anyone. Everyone who comes to stay in my spare room comments how pretty and comfortable the bed is.”

“The mattress I bought a few days ago is very good quality and although medium, I find it quite firm. I am trying to get used to it. My main grumble is that I am getting too hot sleeping on it. I have cotton sheets and a light duvet and cotton nightclothes. Tonight I will sleep with the window open. I can't return as I have thrown away the plastic covering it came with.”

Hi, Thanks so much for your order and review. If you only bought it a few days ago we'd recommend trying it out and seeing if you get on with it. If not, do note you can still return it within 100 days of receiving your mattress, even if you've thrown the plastic away. We'll send another to package it and then organise collection. In general it is, however, always better to keep the packaging until you're sure you'll get on with your product. This helps save a little plastic.
