Fantastic service in the town, really nice to have help with complicated problems and not have tech speak thrown around! The guys were all informed on the state of play, never made false promises and always came with options. The retrieval of a lot of data was such a bonus. Would recommend the store to all.

Because I have used the MacMan in Brighton before I was expecting a superman and my friend and I got just that. We asked him to call on us which was easily arranged and he sussed out a serious problem with the router as soon as he walked in the door and once that was replaced he set up my friend's new laptop and explained many things to her, allowing her plenty of time to try them out. Then he gave my IMac a good clean up and was quick and efficient throughout. Can't fault MacMan and will tell anybody who is interested!

Whether we are right to be a little put out is probably open to interpretation, but our experience of the mac man service is good, but I feel the back up service from the initial repair was a bit weak. We had our macbook air repaired in July last year, but we had cause to take it back in February as it had not been working for a couple of months. When investigated, it turned out to be the battery was at fault again, which had been replaced in July last year. The computer also had a log which showed that the new battery had only been charged 4 times, which was completely wrong as it had been charged at least twice per week since the July repair. Therefore we would assume that this fault shows there was something wrong with the battery since its installation, but as there is only a 3 month warranty on the repair this was deemed out of guarantee. We did question this and only had to pay for 50% of the battery cost and the labour was free of charge, but I felt this all should have been dealt with under warranty as my opinion would be that the battery was faulty from installation, but that we could not have been expected to know this until it totally failed as it did in December..

As your laptop is a 2008 model, some parts are very difficult to source as they are no longer produced by Apple. We make incredible efforts to source only certified Grade A parts from verified Apple resellers and we thoroughly check all components we have fitted before passing anything back to the customer. In this instance though the quality of the part was not satisfactory over time, but we do ask customers to let us know within 3 months of fitting if there is a problem with the hardware so we can then send it back to manufacturer. As this was outside of the 3 month warranty there was a cost for the replacement part and we cannot send the faulty part back. As you have noted though we did ask you to contribute for only the half of the cost of this part and we paid the remainder and we gave you a free installation service. Unfortunately we cannot extend our warranty for these parts for older machines for reasons described above, but if you have any ideas on how we could improve our after sales service we would love to hear from you directly as we are always looking for 100% customer satisfaction. I brought my (ageing) iMac in for an MOT and a RAM upgrade. The turn around was nice and quick. Before any work was done I was made aware of all the options available to improve the running of my machine. I am pleased to say that my machine is now running much faster. Really pleased I went to Mac Man rather than just assume I needed a new machine.

Very happy with the service considering the issue of potentially losing a hard drive. Quick and easy but my only issue is it's hard to park and carry a mac. But overall very happy

Loved the service and advise from The Mac Man! They're on top of that silly hill in Hanover but once you get up there it's well worth it ;) Went in to have my old 2007 MacBook upgraded (new HDD, new RAM, new battery) to give it as a gift and they did it for a really reasonable price and had good advice about updating the software too. Apparently, this model runs Snow Leopard best and it wouldn't necessary run better when updating to Lion... They even cleaned the MacBook (I had an awful sticker on it) and upon starting the device it ran as smooth as. Looking forward to giving it as a present although I'd almost love to keep it to myself now that it's all new and happy :)

The 3-4 different guys I spoke to were all very friendly, and helpful to a non-techie person like me. I am however, still awaiting the outcome of what could turn out to be a massive mistake that somebody appears to have made. I made it very clear that the external hard drive I was bringing in alongside the Mac Pro tower looked like it need reconfiguring in order for the Windows files to be backed up on to the Mac instead of the previous PC machine I had been using. I explained this to the guy I made the booking with on the phone, as well as the guy who took the equipment from me on the day I delivered it. So I was understandably horrified when I plugged the external hard drive back in after the other work had been carried out on the Mac Pro to find that the said Word documents were nowhere to be seen! I called The Mac Man and another guy who I had not spoken to before said that if they were not visible, then the chances were that they were not there at all! I took a few days to think about this and how I would respond. I left a message on the answer phone explaining my displeasure to say the least, and a few hours later, I received a phone call from Matt, the Manager, apologising but more importantly for me, reassuring me that there should be a way to recover the files. Also, very importantly I believe, he reserved judgement on the guy who had carried out the work until he had spoken to him. Customer loyalty is one thing which obviously has to be in place if a business is to succeed but colleague loyalty is also a very important thing with any company I deal with. So, I was very impressed with the way that Matt handled the situation and as I say, we have not reached a resolution yet. Hopefully, it will be a mutually satisfactory one!

My wife and I are computer illiterates, but Sam managed to explain and demonstrate how to get the most out of our iMac, in a way that was really helpful. He also fixed all our problems in a friendly and efficient manner. We will definitely use Macman again. J & J

Initially took the iPad in for repair after it had been dropped and badly smashed, they promptly gave a quote and undertook the repair within five days. Unfortunately the repair was not totally successful and we had to take it back. They were very apologetic and quickly assessed and fixed the problem within a few more days.

My wife and I are very pleased to have our APPLE LAP TOP back in working condition, after a short stay at The Mac Man . Our experience was good. The young man, P.J. was very helpful explaining every thing in clear speak which we could understand ( we are 75 ) and the repair seems to be O.K. We will use them again Thanks, Tony Marshall.
