“Found this company on Ebay, great price, sleepers were top quality and the customer service second to none. They informed me on the Friday that my order will be delivered on Monday and they will give me an ETA. Sure enough Monday came with a phone call to say the sleepers will be with me at 11am. They arrived at 10.55 with a very helpful driver.”

“Good quality of oak this year. Delivery was within a couple of days, but pity the driver couldn't stop moaning about me asking him to place the crate in the garage, which in previous years another driver accomplished without any difficulty”

“Quantity and quality of the wood delivered was excellent, however the delivery process wasn’t. First, there was no communication about the actual delivery, the first time I knew about this was when the lorry turned up at the end of our shared drive. The lorry driver struggled to get to our house and then was reluctant to try to reverse into our private part of the drive even though we have had very large grabber lorries get into the space. Eventually I got him to drop the crate at the top of the drive so I wouldn’t have a re-delivery. It took me a couple of hours to transport the logs into my garden. Perhaps because it was late in the day the driver seemed keen to get away. I should have been contacted by the company or the logistics firm about the delivery,”

Dear Michael, I apologise for the issues you had with the transport company. They are contracted to first book-in deliveries and only after that attempt the delivery. You are in your rights to refuse to take the goods if no one had contacted you prior. The hauliers are pretty good but at this moment, with the pandemic, everybody are trying to do their jobs the best they can. Please contact us via support@luxurywood.co.uk for further details.

“Driver refused to put the pallet on the drive, never mind the garage. Left it on the pavement, I had to move it all by hand log by log. Not happy.”

Dear James, Usually the drivers try to accommodate the customers the best they can although the official service they provide is kerbside only The reason the driver refused at the moment is the current situation with the pandemic and the instructions for social distancing.

“Good service, quality wood at a very reasonable price. Also unlike many deliveries I’ve had off other companies in the past they are really well packed together so offering better value. Very well seasoned too so would definitely recommend.”

“The crate of oak logs is an excellant way to stock up for the winter and they burn beautifully. The delivery driver was a little retiscent to put the crates on our drive and just wanted to leave them in the street but he eventually saw sense.”

“Normally happy with Luxury Wood...however on this occasion there was a substantial amount of dry rot of logs both in the crate and the nets. I know it will burn ok but not happy with it sitting inside for long before burning. David Hobson”
