“I have been buying kiln dried wood for our burner and our open fire from the Luxury Wood Company for several years now - mainly full pallets of ash and oak. I am generally very pleased - most of the wood is usually dry, clean, dense and cut to an acceptable size. It is also well packed and weather protected. However this is not invariably the case and there have been disappointments when wood has been of poor quality - mainly lightweight logs lacking substance. A small percentage of poor wood - say 5% - is ok but there are times when it has been significantly more than this. Having said that the last delivery of oak a week or two back was excellent. I have been tempted to try elswhere but our delivery driver, Paul, has been first class! So I'll hope for greater consistency in the future.”

“I think the pallets are a little shorter this year and filled with lots of off cuts and dust. I am disappointed at the delivery charge due to my postcode.”

“Absolutely delighted with the play bark. Clean, dry and large pieces of good quality bark. The smell is amazing and it was so easy to lay as it was dry, so very light to handle. Will be ordering another bulk bag shortly.”

“I always buy my heating products (in this case, coal doubles) in Summer because they are better value and get to me quicker. In this case, I wanted to restock for the coming winter and chose coal doubles over my usual ovals. They come in smaller bags (they were 10kg bags as against 25kg for ease of storage and use), and supposedly leave less ash residue after burning on my multi fuel stove. As I am not in a smoke-free area, I chose the coal doubles, not just as an experiment, but because they were on offer and very good value. I only paid £199.00, with free delivery! An absolute bargain and paid for by my annual Government Heating Allowance. The order was taken by the website easily and quickly and the doubles arrived after only a few days. Excellent product, great bargain price, easy ordering and quick delivery. What's not to like? Well done The Luxury Wood Company!”

“Kiln dried logs very poorly cut. Lots were enormous, split in different places, stumps included and will be very difficult to use an axe on to make a more appropriate size for wood burner. Very disappointed.”

“Bought a crate of kiln dried ash for my pizza oven which requires a clean burning wood with plenty of heat and a good flame. This wood is just the job and will re-order when its gone. Great service too !!”
