Hi Gareth, Thank you for getting in touch. It looks like there was a typo on your email address. I've corrected it at our end and resent the emails. If you haven't received them, check junkmail too. I can confirm that your order was dispatched today on a next working day service so should arrive Monday or sooner. Best wishes, Mike The Incubator Shop

I have recently purchasedx a Rcom Eco 10 incubator and i wish to order a rotation unit for this item
Asked by Dave Green (2 years ago)
Hello, Thank you for your question. we don't sell the automatic turning kit for the Rcom 10 Eco but we do sell the Rcom 10 egg tray which coverts the machine from a manual turn incubator to a semi-automatic incubator. The tray enables you to only need to rotate the lid to turn the eggs rather then having to open the incubator up and turn each egg by hand. You can find the tray on the link below. https://www.theincubatorshop.co.uk/products/details/rcom-10-egg-tray.html I hope this helps. Best wishes, Bronti.

Hi I see the brinesea mini 11 ex is for hens egg would it take turkey eggs and if so how many. Need quick answer for Xmas press
Asked by James birch (2 years ago)
Hi! Thanks so much for the question. The Mini II EX will fit some Turkey eggs but it's a small incubator so not ideal. A much better idea would be the Maxi II EX - It's on Special Offer at just £200 right now so, just £10 more than the Mini II EX but at twice the capacity - https://www.theincubatorshop.co.uk/products/details/brinsea-maxi-ii-advance-ex-automatic-egg.html Best wishes, Mike

Bronti.

Good morning, I am looking to buy an incubator mainly for duck eggs. Have incubated hen eggs very successfully with an old brinsea in the past, but struggle with duck. Could you please recommend.
Asked by Gwen Legg (3 years ago)
Hello Gwen, I am sure I can help answer your question. When looking for a machine for duck eggs it is always best to look for one with a universal egg tray. Duck eggs can vary in size and incubators that have egg specific trays are normally for hen eggs and not all duck eggs turn very well in these machines. I would also suggest a machine that offers some humidity control whether it be just a humidity read out like on the Brinsea Ovation 28 Advance or one with full humidity control like the Rcom 20 max. On the link below you can find all the machines we find are great for incubating duck eggs. https://www.theincubatorshop.co.uk/products/incubators-for-duck-and-goose-eggs.html I hope this helps Bronti.

I’m looking to buy incubator for my sons birthday , we have chickens but he wants to hatch his own . We don’t have a cockerel. Which incubator do you recommend ideally one with automatic turning - river or Brinsea ?
Asked by Penny Walker (4 years ago)
Hi Penny, apologies for the late reply due to the weekend. It's a great idea for a gift for your son! There's nothing quite like hatching and rearing your own chicks. You'll need to find a good supplier of high quality fertilised eggs, or a friendly and fertile cockerel to mate with your hens. After that, both brands of incubators you've suggested would do a brilliant job. The ET Super 12 Auto or a Brinsea Mini II Advance are both brilliant options, both with Automatic Egg Turning. The Brinsea offers better visibility but the ET has the option to upgrade to full humidity control in the future. You'll also need to consider your timescale. At the time of writing this, we're out of stock on both incubators. The ET is due back within a week, but Brinsea may be longer away. If you email sales@theincubatorshop.co.uk with your timescale and any other requirements, we'll be sure to help you. Best wishes, Mike

Can anyone help. I have a R.com pro10 and using it for the first time. The humidity has held excellent all the way but now down to day 3 the turner has stopped, I've filled both chambers with water and inserted the filter. I can't get humidity above 48% . Any advice?
Asked by Pam (4 years ago)
Hi Pam, No problem at all. Yes we can help :-) It sounds like everything is going perfectly. The Rcom 10 Pro is designed to stop the egg turning when there's three days left to go. This is what all of the best incubators do. It allows the chicks to position themselves in the shell ready to hatch. You don't want any egg turning to be happening around hatching time, otherwise this can hurt the chicks. As for humidity, the Rcom 10 Pro has manual humidity control. So filling both chambers with water will increase the humidity. But you need to give it time, it won't increase instantly. The water has to first warm up, then evaporate, and then the sensor will detect the humidity rise. The very best advice we can give you is to not interfere with the incubator at this stage. The nickname for this part of incubation is 'lockdown'. This means the lid should remain closed from now on to allow the heat to stay high and the humidity to not escape. In nature, this is the part where the hen will not leave the nest until all the chicks are hatched and well. You'll find that once they start to hatch, the humidity will rise very high. But don't worry, just leave them be and all will be just fine. If you need any other help, just go to https://www.theincubatorshop.co.uk/help/ or contact us for more info. Kind regards, Mike
