“Having searched for a British made product,I bought a Chick Safe Eco door opener from Brinsea on Amazon. Unfortunately I hadn't realised that the company also has an American retail outlet and my purchase came from there. There was a slight problem with the product (which was primarily due to the supplied batteries) so rather than increase the air-miles of the Chicksafe, I contacted the UK factory. I must say that they couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I received timely, courteous and helpful replies to emails (thank you Emily). The repaired Chicksafe was returned very quickly and operates beautifully. It is a robust unit operated by x4 AA batteries. Installation is very easy requiring only 2 screws. This is most easily done by removing the top cover, holding the unit in place and then marking the position of the screws (this is much easier that trying to accurately measure 121 mm onto rough chicken house wood as suggested in the manual). The unit can then be slotted onto the screws before tightening them up. It is most important that the unit is attached to the open door before installing the batteries - the weight of the door then sets the upper limit of action of the motor. I would recommend the custom made two-piece sliding door that is available with this unit. It is really well made and operates flawlessly. All in all this is an excellent piece of kit manufactured by a great British company”

“It's brilliant. My daughter had a smaller and cheaper one which hatched 1 egg from 4 but the incubator failed. So i took a few hours looking on reviews and came to your 5* all the way.. I can say we are not disappointed. Well worth the money the display it clear and easy to under stand.. So i will give 5* If all gose well We will be looking into a bigger incubator next year.”
