“I have used the Oil Club for the first time & it scored well in a number of areas. a) Price: Better than my previous supplier. b) Attention to specific details: When asking for a smaller tanker, there was no problem & no extra charge. c) Delivery date: A date was agreed, but later I was 'phoned & asked to change delivery date. This did not work out either for the supplier, but the third time was fine & no problems. c) Delivery instructions were followed & no problems arose. I look forward to building a good relationship with the Oil Club. I feel I can now order oil to be delivered without my presence on the premises, & that all will be satisfactory.”

“I have neither the patience nor the time to phone round local suppliers and play the cat and mouse game to try to get the best price. I tended to buy from one supplier and whilst their service was good, I doubted that I was getting the best price. Signing up to the Heating Oil Club was straightforward and probably took less time than I would have spent on a phone-round. Placing my first order was quick and easy and delivery was ahead of the predicted time. The group buying power assures me of a keen price. Incidentally, the company who delivered would not have been on my phone list. I could have saved myself from a lot of stress by joining sooner.”

“My usual supplier Tinknell Fuels, Tel. 01747 823184, have just quoted me 48.95p. (500 litres) Your quote was 52.29p. (500 litres) which I presumed at the time would be the lowest. I decided to check when you emailed me with this request for a review. Please explain this. M. G. Fortescue”

Good evening Mr. Fortescue, Thank you for taking the time to respond to our survey, we value all responses and where there is an issue, such as this one, it gives us an opportunity to work towards a resolution. Sadly it seems that the supplier in your area is out of step in relation to the market, particularly in smaller, 500 litre size drops. In many other areas we offer a 500 litre price that is in fact more competitive than the one secured from your local supplier so my apologies for our lack of competitiveness on this occasion. “I last bought oil in July and as it's a lot cheaper now I haven't used enough to even top up . Ideally I need a reserve tank to take advantage of the low price of oil”
