“Hi The ordering process etc. Is super smooth. The one issue I have is that there is no pre-notification of the delivery by the oil supplier so I was out. This is common practice now for delivery companies and The Club should be asking their suppliers to provide this. 24h notice would be reasonable.”

Thanks so much for your kind and positive comments. The advance notice by suppliers is slightly tricky but we are working on it! However, many of our members ask for notification the day before delivery in their 'special instruction', and that works well.

“After I'd received confirmation of my order & delivery date I contacted The Heating Oil Club and explained to Mark that I'd actually ran out of oil and asked if it could be delivered any sooner. Mark got in touch with the supplier and it was delivered the following day.”

“Took advantage of a weekend price drop to order 1000ltrs and got 875ltrs in - still getting used to the oil watchman kit. Would have given 5 stars but there was no indication of delivery date so had to get out of shower to open tank lock. Having spoken to other members who say they get a text or some form of notification then this is irritating. Pricing remains keen but competitors are sharpening up.”

Thanks for the positive review, I'm glad that for the most part you were happy with what we do at The Heating Oil Club. There was a 'delivery by date' sent by email, all of our members benefit from this. It is also true that some members get either a text or call before delivery, but those members all ask for that in our 'special instructions' area, unfortunately you did not make such a request. It is easy to add those notes to your account, just log in and you will see the options to do so. Thanks again.

“Good price and good delivery. However for the last two years Butlers have delivered oil to me (at 34 Malthouse lane) and my neighbor at 14 Malthouse Lane, who are only 150 yards apart, on different days, although we ordered within a day or two of each other. This year our order notes even cross referenced the orders. This is not taking advantage of the potential milage savings the delivery vehicle could have made.”
