“I have now ordered heating oil twice through the Heating Oil Club. Both times I have been impressed by the service I have received. Their website is straightforward and easy to use. Prices are clearly shown and very competitive. I particularly liked the fact that a top up price for a 500lts delivery was only pennies more than half the price of a 1000lts order. With a limited size tank (nominal 1250lts) this is very useful to me. Delivery was on the forecast date with a text message to tell me it was on its way. I will have no hesitation in ordering again through the Heating Oil Club.”

“Delivery was within specified time, however by a different carrier and then received an Invoice from different firm !!! having paid by card prior. This could be very worrying to older customers. Also the quantity was short by 150 litres and although reimbursed the difference its not helpful when we only order once a year and of course wish to take advantage of the low price. Now will have to order a minimum 500litres to get 150.”

Hello Mr. Whating, My apologies for this inconvenience, I do understand why this might have been disconcerting. The supplier trades under various brand names across the UK but there is clarification of that on their invoices etc. In terms of the shortfall in delivery, it looks like the driver ran out so again my apologies. “The heating oil that I ordered arrived before the earliest date given, which was good. The tracking service, beyond telling me that the oil had left the depot, was not very useful. A map with the tankers present location would be excellent. (some of the parcel delivery companies now do this). From the driver telephoning me to tell me he was "near" (he was about 1.5 miles away) to him arriving at my gate was nearly half an hour. Something , to me, was obviously not working very well, and the driver was a little "edgy" on the phone. He was OK by the time he arrived. Overall, an excellent service. Pity the actual supplier was not one of our local companies, i.e. Fords' or Moorlands. David Tarbox-Cooper”
