“Firstly I would like to know more about the club - who actually owns it, location, etc. Then I used it as the price was better than your rival the Oil-club. Only problem is that Butlers, who supplied the oil would not put the overflow into our other storage tank because it was not connected directly to the burners. It is "plural" because 2 separate families on the same property use the comunal tank and we used Tank No2 to enable us to buy more oil at the v ery reduced price. Can't find any law against this ???? Only other problem is that Debit Card was used when ordering and we are now in "credit" with Butlers ad are awaiting reply to e-mail sent to them last Saturday.”

Hello Mr. Spencer, We are a club located in Northamptonshire and have many, many years experience within the oil industry and home heating in particular. The particular issue you experienced relates to a health and safety directive of the Butler wider company and a driver cannot override that. “My recent order was for 800 litres. Butlers Fuels were the delivery agent. They were supposed to give advance notice of delivery details. This did not happen and so access to the tank was not practical. However, the driver climbed over the 6ft fence because the gate was locked. After all that. only 600 litres was delivered; insufficient product was on board the vehicle!! The balance of 200 litres was delivered a couple of days later, fortunately by a different driver. Now, I have received an invoice for the 200l in spite of it having already been paid at time of ordering with you. Please sort this out......... and arrange for an alternative supplier for any future order.”

Good morning, thanks for taking the time to respond, my apologies for any inconvenience caused. In terms of the 200 litres, all that you received on the second delivery was a confirmation/delivery note, you were not charged for additional product. “Brilliant way of purchasing your heating oil. Wished I had known about the club ages ago it would have saved me a fortune. Thanks for letting me know about the low prices at the moment, normally I would have waited until about October and then ordered but have a tank full now of "cheap" oil, which depending on the weather could last me through until the early spring. Well done for the heating oil club would recommend you to anyone. Quite honestly a lot of my neighbours changed to gas a few years ago because oil was so expensive, more fool them!!”
