“I made a payment and at checkout I got a message saying "payment details could not be verified" even though the money left my bank account. Tried calling and emailing and have recieved no answer.”

Mikel You made four payment attempts, today Saturday. 3 of them failed as the post code for the card you were using was incorrect and 1 failed as there were insufficient funds on your card. If you telephoned we could not have answered as it is Saturday and the office is closed. When a payment by card is attempted the bank takes an authorisation for the amount which will be cancelled if there is a problem with the details provided resulting in the payment being rejected. Totally incorrect for you to have left this feedback.

“Wide variety of pens and inks, great prices and fast shipping! I had to return a fountain pen, as I found it was too slippery for me to write with because of the metallic grip. Nigel was absolutely brilliant, making the return a breeze and provided excellent customer service. Highly recommended! Thank you very much!”

“I'd give this company 10 stars, not 5. They're my knight in shining armour. From an online US company I'd bought a pen but they hadn't made it clear it was only for calligraphy. They wouldn't accept a return, and said no manufacturer's ordinary nib would fit it. Enter HAMILTON PENS: I rang them and Nigel answered. He was very kind, and I sent him the pen. He rang saying no usual nibs would fit it, but that he'd talk to some collectors at a Pen Fair. He was passing through my village this morning, and delivered the pen with not only a nib that does fit – and is just the right width to write with – but also a converter for bottled ink too. He charged me just what he’d paid, which was very little indeed. A wonderful company who have not only made my pen work but restored my faith in humanity. And so knowledgeable and incredibly helpful – they go the extra mile (literally!) for you. If you want the right pen for you, whether inexpensive or high-end, just ask them. Thank you so much, Hamilton – and especially Nigel!”
