Had problem with delivery times which turned out to be the Easter close down. Great communication from the shop, nice to deal with real people. Best price I could find for what I needed.

Hi Chris, I hope you are well. Thanks for leaving us a review on Reviews.io, whilst it's never nice to hear negative feedback, it's always a great opportunity for us to learn something and perfect our service, so your feedback is always welcome. I've just done a little research on your order. I can see you placed the order at 12.05pm on Thursday, and utilised our free delivery coupon. Your order was dispatched the next working day, which was the 2nd April. Please note, because of the Good Friday and Easter Monday bank holiday, UPS do not collect packages or do deliveries on these days. Our delivery drivers need a bank holiday too 🙂 I can see the order is scheduled for delivery today, which would be the second working day after placing your order. Unfortunately, it looks like you have just been a bit unfortunate with the timings of the bank holiday delaying your package. We normally aim to get all deliveries to customers within 1-3 working days, and as it looks like your package will be delivered on the second working day, I think this is within the realms of "normal" and not something to raise huge alarm bells for me yet. If you could give me a bit more info on the delivery email being misleading, I will look into this in more detail to see if that's something we should look to improve for all customers going forwards. Your email should have included a clickable tracking link to the UPS website. If you could forward me the email you received, i'd be really grateful. Thanks again, and have a great day, Mike

After ordering a pair of Photix LED T200's of which the website said there were two in stock, I was then advised that the stock records were wrong and there was only one in stock which was then shipped. The elusive second unit, was finally shipped about two months later after requesting updates every couple of weeks to be told each time a different date. Sales kept refering back to purchasing but no clear date was given and kept being asked if I wanted to cancel the order. So not very good service.

Whilst it's never nice to hear negative feedback, it's absolutely invaluable to us to get honest reviews from our customers, so we can use them to perfect our service going forwards. For this, we are really thankful. To explain a little what happened with your order, unfortunately at this time our website does not show exactly how many of each item we have in stock, it will only say if it's "In Stock" or not. As we had one T200 LED left in stock, the website showed as in stock, but of course you weren't to know at the time of ordering that meant only one left. We will certainly take your feedback on board though, and see if an exact stock figure is something we can make live on the website (and that it won't create any new problems whilst fixing this one). As for the late delivery, I can only but apologise sincerely. Unfortunately we were REALLY messed around by the sea shipment process on our Phottix container. Our delivery date got pushed back on five separate occasions, and towards the end of the wait, we really had lost faith in when we were going to receive the item. We ordered these items in November, and after all the delays, it did not arrive until mid March, which was hugely frustrating for us, as i'm sure it was for you. Unfortunately, this made it practically impossible for us to give a delivery date, without risking that date coming and going with no product to send to you. In these sorts of situations, we do always offer the customer the option to cancel and refund so they can look for the item elsewhere. I still think this is the fair course of action to take, but i'd be open to hearing any additional feedback from you, as to how you think we could have handled the situation better for you. We've been doing this for over 30 years, but we're always learning and improving, so any detailed feedback is always welcome. Thanks again, we hope to see you again in future, i'm sure we can make it up to you. Mike

For the small item i bought the shipping charges were excessive. The shipping charges were not shown when paying with Apple Pay except after the payment button os pressed.This i find disappointing.

Hi Glyn, Thanks so much for leaving us a review. It's so important for us to perfect our service to get this kind of invaluable feedback. We are going to do some testing of the Apple Pay service on our website. I know when using the website credit card checkout, we have setup the shipping information to always appear clearly before the credit card is entered, and truth be told I did not realise that Apple Pay doesn't offer the same system. We're going to check it and if possible make some changes to the way it transacts so that shipping price is clear, because I 100% agree with you, shipping price should always be advertised before making a payment or entering payment details! Unfortunately when using third party payment gateways, they don't always allow us to make the changes to the flow of the payment process that we would like, but if it's possible, this is absolutely a change we will make. For your next order, if you want to skip the delivery charge, we do currently give a free shipping coupon to everyone that signs up to our newsletter. If you find something useful in the newsletter and want to stick around, great, if not, you can always unsubscribe later!
