“I didnt get much help from my initial conversatiion with one of your staff. My second telephone conversation was more helpful but as someone who knew nothing about the service I felt rather stupid for when asking some questions.”

We have been training new members of staff recently and I apologise if you did not receive the assistance you expected. “The Apostille Service actually did the work as requested. However, the company's downfall is using a poor delivery company such as UKMail, which endlessly messed me about. Hopefully this review will spur them to change courier services.”

Thank you for the feedback. I am pleased to see that we completed your order quickly but I am sorry that the courier service did not deliver your document as expected. We legalise thousands of documents every year and rely on the courier service to complete their service as efficiently as we do. Over the last 20 years we have used several different courier services and currently use UKMail which is part of DHL. Over 99% of documents are delivered to the customer without problem, but unfortunately the occasional delay can occur which is beyond our control. However, I will pass on your comments to the Area Manager at UKMail. Our records indicate that we have refunded the cost of the courier service. We hope you have a good week. Regards, Mike.

“My documents were returned with the Apostille, so the service is satisfactory. The Apostille Service did not return my documents as quickly as advertised. They collect and forward documents to the Foreign Office so there is additional postage time when using this service.”

Hi Nick, I am sorry that your document was delayed. Unfortunately the document that you sent had not been prepared correctly. Therefore it was impossible for the apostille to be issued. The document had been prepared and issued in one person’s name, but it was signed by someone else. Legal documents can only be signed by the person named as the signatory. I believe this was explained to you and a new document was provided by the registry office. On receipt of the correctly signed document we completed the apostille service in just 2 days. Had you not used our service you would still be waiting to receive your rejected back document from the government as they have a 2 week processing time. Thank you for your feedback and for letting us know we handled your queries quickly. I have looked at the order records and I believe it is only the ‘ENVELOPE’ that the marriage certificate was sent to us in that has not been returned back to you with your document. Whenever we return documents to clients, we return them with any extra documentation or covers received with the original order. We do not hold or dispose any covers. Unfortunately, we have no record of an additional envelope arriving with your document. If the envelope was sent to us please accept my apologies if this was not returned. However, I am pleased that the actual 'marriage certificate' with the apostille attached has been received safely by you so that you can submit this overseas. “The positive is I received my document with the Apostille stamp. The negative is this service is extremely overpriced - it's a stamp for heaven's sake. A few years ago in Brussels they would put the Apostille for 10 euros. I did everything to receive it as soon as possible and still took a week or 5 working days.”

Hi Eva Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry you feel the service is expensive and took too long. I have had a look at your order and according to our records we received the order on Thursday the 9th November and dispatched the completed document on Friday 10th November. The courier then delivered it to you on Monday 13th November which was the next working day. This is the fastest service we can offer and is the quickest timescale we would quote to any customer. Regarding the price, we do understand it can be an expensive process. Unfortunately there are government fees, courier fees and sometimes solicitors fees to be paid to complete the process. We believe we are the cheapest apostille service available in the UK and strive to keep our prices as low as possible while maintaining a fast service. We can not comment on the Belgium apostille fees as this is a different system to the UK apostille. Thanks again for your feedback. Kind regards Steve
