“Overall I thought it was good. There were some places where I'd clean up the writing a bit; I'm a technical writer so things like that really jump out at me. 😊 There were also a couple of times when I misunderstood what was needed in the written assignments, so I would clarify those. (Those are the ones I didn't get right the first time.) The only other thing was a technical issue that sometimes when I clicked a forward arrow (at the bottom right) and instead of going to the next module, the course overview would appear.”

“I enjoyed this course very much. The modules were very well structured and the assignments and units were not simple at all. The tutors gave regular feedback and they were not for namesake only. I feel I had to earn this certification. Tech support was also good. Thank you.”

“I really enjoyed the course. The bite size capsules made learning the material easy. What did throw me off was the fact that my tutor had spelling mistakes in his feedback. I found that off-putting. It was as if a bot was answering me, not a real person. Or perhaps a person from India that does not even speak English but puts my answer into some kind of AI processor. Not cool!”

“I recently completed the 120-hour Premium TEFL Course. The course was very good in terms of both content and presentation of the material. I feel confident that I am able to teach English as a foreign language in a variety of settings and with a variety of methods. My tutor always provided helpful feedback on my assignments very fast. The course does a pretty good job at making the material interesting, and the teaching materials from the course are available to download which is a great bonus. I have two complaints: 1) The course is far longer than 120 hours! The course vastly over-estimates how quickly the average person can complete it. When I signed up for the course I was told that most people complete it within 4-6 weeks, but I fail to see how that is possible. It took me over six months to complete (I worked on the course for an average of 1-3 hours per day). Granted, I was sometimes busy with other things and so I did not work on the course every day, but I was told when I signed up that the course is designed to be flexible so that it can be completed even by people with full-time jobs. I am sorry, but this is a bare-faced lie. I cannot comprehend how someone is able to complete the course within 4-6 weeks, unless they are skipping through slides without reading the informaton presented, or skipping the videos without watching them (to progress to the next module, you must answer multiple-choice quizzes, but since you can re-take these if you fail, it would in theory be possible to skip content this way). Unless you want to cheat like this, or spend many hours every day on the course, you should in my opinion allow a minimum of three months for the course (longer if you are working). 2) TEFL forces you to pay extra if you do not meet their arbitrary deadline. The course expires after six months, and if you are running out of time to complete it (having already paid), you are FORCED TO PURCHASE AN EXTENSION, for an extortionate price. The course itself is very good value for money, but this is offset by the COMPLETELY ARBITRARY imposition of a deadline, beyond which you will be FORCED TO PAY EXTRA to complete a course you have ALREADY PAID FOR!! As I mentioned above, since the course actually takes far longer than the estimated time, this means that I imagine many people fall into this trap and I would not be surprised if this is how TEFL makes a lot of their money. I can see no valid reason why the courses expire, other than to force customers to pay extra in this underhanded way. If not for these two factors, I would give the course 5 stars, but being deceived about how long the course takes, and then forced to pay extra, leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth to say the least.”

We offer 5 to 7 months to complete our courses - depending on the course you choose. Most students on average complete them within 12 weeks. This is simply an average though, so some students can take longer and others complete them much sooner. As our courses are flexible it means that our students can complete as much or as little as they like each week. We also keep track of these statistics to ensure we're providing accurate information, so please be assured the stats we provide are based on an average of all our students. We would also ike to clarify that no student is ever forced to purchase an extension. This is completely the choice of the student. We ensure that the timeframe of our courses are clearly advertised on our website, and the student's account. So our students can always know the deadline of their course to plan their studies around this. Should they need more time then we do indeed offer the option to purchase an extension. “In general, I thought it was very good and the overall rating of 4.6 out 5 is probably about right. I started off with everything in a very linear way but became a bit tired of keeping hearing the same voices so then I jumped around a bit more. I think that was my only complaint - that it could have done with a little more variety in terms of the teachers and voices that were drawn on for the online course. I did learn a hell of a lot from the videos of the classes and they did shape an awful lot of my learning experience and the teachers you chose were both excellent and inspirational. The presentation of the assignments seemed a little long-winded at times but I can appreciate that it all had to be done within the context of them being in the written word rather than being verbally explained by a teacher. And it just meant that more time was needed to figure out and assess exactly what was needed. But it was generously done all the same and the guidance was good. I would definitely recommend the TEFL experience to another person. Since I have a great passion for English, I really enjoyed the course and it has equipped me very well for teaching in the future.”

“The course was instantly accessible once I'd paid, meaning I could begin immediately. It was very interesting to go through English Grammar again, much of which I'd forgotten since school or had actually never been taught as being a native speaker it's ingrained. The courses were well put together and were challenging but ultimately I achieved the qualification and look forward to teaching English! A big thank you to Joanne who marked my assignments, she was very helpful with great tips and encouragement throughout. A big thank you to her and also for the affordability of the course meaning I was able to complete my TEFL. Many thanks!”
