“I think that this TEFL course was, overall, a good experience. However, I do think that the written assignment grade feedback could be improved. After submitting an assignment, the tutor should just tell the student what is wrong with his or her assignment so that the student can fix all the issues in one go. Instead, I have noticed that, at least with my tutor, they would tell me only a few things at a time to fix and then I would submit my assignment again and the tutor would tell me extra things to fix. This was very time-consuming. Also, there seems to be a need for a standard grading system for the assignments. When I would fix the issues with my assignment and re-submit my work, my tutor would add on more things to fix even if I fixed exactly what needed to be fixed and fixed it correctly”

“Excellent course. However, I noticed that it was, understandably, heavy weighted towards lesson plans but there is little focus on a course plan: whether a teacher is working for a school or online as freelancer, I would have thought that they still should have a 6 months or 12 months plan on how to structure the course or curriculum (e.g. grammar first and skills later? Phonology at the beginning or at the end? In a Business English course what teaching sequence should the teacher follow?) The reason for this comment is that I intend to set up my own freelancing business teaching business English via zoom or skype to companies and individuals in my industry sector. I am sure that there are many other would-be teachers in my same position and a guidance on course plan (as opposed to lesson plan) would really be helpful Best regards Lucio Boselli”

“Overall it was a very easy to understand course. Even as a native speaker, with a few years of TEFL experience I learned new things taking this course. There were a few things in assignments that were unclear at first, but after contacting my assigned tutor they were quickly cleared up.”

“The TEFL Org is very well structured. The teachers who took care of the video lessons are very clear in their explanations and really good at keeping attention and interest high. The students in the class filmed for the videolessons are very nice and this helps to make everything fun too. Each Unit is complete and well developed. The exercises are very useful, they are corrected in record time and the feedback from teachers is essential to overcome gaps and doubts and improve, to achieve the goal. It was a great experience. “I was on a 3 day TEFL course at the Mecure Hotel. The lead tutor was Mr.Asif Haque who was one of the best teachers I have ever come across in my teaching career over 19 years. He was interactive with all the students, had the best knowledge one would want to know who was on a course. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to teach. He made the students feel at ease and by the end of the three days we all had the knowledge, the experience and more.”

“I found this course really challenging but in a good way. The grammar section was very thorough, and I really enjoyed the videos of real-life situations. My assignments were marked and sent back quickly with some very really helpful feedback from my very supportive tutor, Steve. I could only commit to an on-line programme and found this really good. I feel that I have learned a lot and am now equipped to develop my teaching for real. Thank you”

“As this was the only and only TEFL course I've ever taken its hard for me to compare it to others but in doing my research I believe that TEFL.org is among one of the better online choices for your TEFL cert. The price for the 120 hour TEFL course is pretty reasonable and it always seems like there is a sale going on. I've seen some courses for cheaper but heard they are typically just a big pdf file to read, this course had video and in class examples and provided a lot of information and activates to really help the learning material stick and make sense. The course also did a good job at explaining and provided examples of how you would teach these concepts to new English learners. If you're looking for an online TEFL course that is affordable and very comprehensive then I would highly recommend TEFL Org”

“Overall, I enjoyed the 140-hour-course very much. The lessons were informative and intuitive to put me in the shoes of a TEFL teacher. I also really liked watching the videos of real classroom examples while introducing new topics. Occasionally, I struggled with the assignment question format for what I could and could not utilize in my lessons so I had to redo a few assignments.”

“The administrative staff are very responsive and informative. The tutors are very helpful and gives valuable feedback. The classes covers the modules in a very easy to learn way and are able to review videos and modules over until you understand. Very good course. High recommend.”

“It was simple, yet informative. My biggest two issues were that 1. I accidentally submitted the same assignment without fixing it and they didn’t undo it after I sent an email requesting it and 2. Saying stuff will be “graded with 48 hours” shouldn’t mean I always need to wait two days to get feedback.”
