“- I thought that overall the course was good and very informative but some of the assignments were a bit vague for example the last one on the teaching large classes. - The advice and marking from the tutor was very helpful and clear.”

“A dated, amateuristic and poor vaky for money offering. Very poor user interface making getting through the many tiny but insubstantial units an enormous annoyance and a waste of time being forced to scroll up and down to get to the button to move on. The quizzes often have technical difficulties making them impossible to complete, the classroom examples are outdated and amateurish, etc. Serious case of buyer's regret here.”

“I like the way how the course is structured because some of the grammar rules were not taught in school. I did not learn some of the grammar rules, unless I took A Level English Language and of course the TEFL courses that you have provided. However, I wish that you could recommend students more jobs and online sites that provide you with students. Consistency is key!”

“The course, taught by Tony Bruce, I must say fulfilled my expectations and beyond. Having had little experience in being taught how to teach, but having taken other language courses, this fills in the gaps between learning and teaching a foreign language. His instruction had a careful, patient, knowledgeable, and entertaining character to it. For a 20-hour course as well, I didn't feel shorted any experience, as I chose this course purposefully based on time and uncertainty of committing to a longer course.”

“I liked the availability of this course and the time allowed to finish the course was ample. Retaking quizzes helped teach or instill concepts I was getting wrong. The accent from UK teachers was at times tricky or even wording or spelling for me as a Wisconsonite/American.”

“I found the grammar course to be less helpful than I thought it might be, it was a very brief overview and really didn't go into much depth. After paying for the course, I was urged to buy a grammar book to learn on my own - which in my opinion defeats the purpose of the course. I found the methodology course to be quite outdated, overall I don't feel very prepared after taking the course.”

We try to focus most of our Teaching English as a Foreign Language courses on creating and delivering lessons, but do certainly cover some grammar as well. It is certainly not essential to buy a grammar book to complete our courses, but these books are recommended by our experienced TEFL teachers who still use these in class themselves.
