“I recently completed The TEFL Org's course and had a fantastic experience. The modules were engaging and well-structured, providing a comprehensive understanding of TEFL concepts. The inclusion of great videos in real-life situations added a practical dimension to the learning process. One standout feature was the freedom to complete assignments without strict deadlines. This flexibility was especially beneficial for me, as I could balance the coursework while working. It made the entire learning journey smoother and more enjoyable. While I thoroughly enjoyed the entire course, I wish there was a way to choose specific modules based on personal interests or career goals. “Excellent. I was impressed. The three on-line courses were very thorough & logical, very informative, and well presented. They also worked well together, meaning that by the end I had a very good idea of what is required to TEFL. The quizes were useful and the assignments well thought out and quite demanding. Also quickly marked with useful and relevant feedback. The on-site teaching was also excellent and complemented the on-line work.”

“This course was very active, I learned a lot about different ranges of students and classes that i will be working with. The only thing I would change is when the course is complete, it would be nice for the student to receive the certificate within a few days. This is only because i have to forward my cerfificate to my university as soon as i have finished the course.”

“Generally, I feel there were a lot to read so I felt the learning experience was a bit less interactive. It would have been greater if more videos of teaching, explaining and exercising were embeded. The content was absoluately replenish and satisfying. Hope this helps.”

“The course was superb! I really appreciated the guided discovery of the tutors and the videos were very helpful in visualizing what to expect or what to avoid when teaching English. “I've just completed the 120 hour TEFL certificate and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of quizzes to test your knowledge and further written assignments that are more challenging, always helpful tutor feedback when needing additional support. Well set out with individual modules, broken down further into smaller units. Engaging videos with real life lessons. Looking forward to applying what I've learnt in real life now.”

“The course was pretty good. I appreciated that most of the vidoes came with a transcript because I enjoy reading more than watching somebody talk a bunch of words at me. If the classroom videos came with the transcript too, that would be great. I think I would have enjoyed more practice with writing lesson plans, and to just write so many of them that it becomes more like muscle memory. I really liked having a tutor as part of the course. My tutor was extremely helpful and quick to respond. Sometimes I had no idea what to write, but if I submitted something(to me it seemed like a jumbled mess), my tutor would give suggestions and point me in the right direction.”

“Very informative, comprehensive and easy to navigate. However, one video presenter needs to learn how pronounce correctly, it's proNUNciation, NOT proNOUNCiation - sounds pedantic, but if you cant use the broom, dont sweep the floor! I found the video presentations quite irritating on the whole, to be honest, and ended up preferring to read the text than watch those. But found the classroom videos very enlightening. Some of the assignment instructions seemed a little unclear, but I accept that it could just have been a case of me being stupid or something!”

“It's a very clearly and precisely written course. It's clear the writers know their stuff. This is both good and bad. The bad side is you don't always catch the little one-liners that mean so much later-on. If the course was textbook based this wouldn't be a problem. But a dyslexic like myself, jumping from video to text is difficult - especially when the option of printing the course is not viable as modules run into 100s of pages. Strangley, for a dyslexic, being able to access a coursebook - even at extra cost - would be very useful. This would allow me to use all the techniques and tricks I've mastered as a post-grad student and apply them to the course text. I will say, the quizzes and tests, observations are all really good, and it's a great motivation to get things right - likewise it's a challenge then things aren't right. This is something of a bugbear with the course, but the presentations to camera feel old and very dated. Again, the scripts are excellent, but the settings are rather dull. There was a lot of fuzzyness on the green screen shots. For the modules, it would have been nice to see teaching in practice - there must be acres of large class and online footage available. I'm afraid I have to say the classroom footage, although brilliant in an academic sense, was often dull, with camera angles being awkward. Compared to the overall visual style of the website and adverts, there was a suprising disparity in quality. Again, I recognise someone completed an enormous task to bring all the aspects of the course together, but it was a struggle. One issue I did have was that the PDF file for each course wasn't searchable. When I knew I'd seen something that I needed to revise, I found no way to search for it other than to wade through screen after screen. I hope this wasn't my issue alone...”
