“Overall I thoroughly enjoyed learning through Tefl. I had never been taught grammar and found some of the content in the module difficult to follow, but eventually it fell into place . I was surprised to get 100% in each of my assignments as my tutor always had some form of constructive criticism to offer. I finished the online training before doing the classroom course, therefore I found that it merely consolidated what I’d already learnt. This was helpful, but I did not think it was essential. Personally, I would recommend covering the grammar course prior to doing the classroom course, as grammar was referred to on a number of occasions and some participants were clearly struggling. Furthermore, I would tell participants that they need either a laptop or a smart phone in order to write lesson plans, and I would ask the venue to provide tables or desks to work from.”

“I really enjoyed taking my TEFL course. The written modules are well presented and the videos are helpful as well. I liked the fact that the units were evaluated with one or several quizzes and a not a "big" assessment everytime, even though those are totally welcomed to practice preparing a lesson. I also loved having a tutor who gave me a personal feedback, it's so much better than just a "you passed" or "retry", it's very motivating. I would totally recommend The TEFL Org!”

“I thought the content and the quizzes were great. The long classroom observation videos could do with some editing to speed up the sections where the class is just talking (you can get the gist of student teacher interaction at 2x speed). It would be nice if more student collaboration would be encouraged and even some face to face time with your tutor. This would create more community learning and make asking questions and discussing concerns a lot easier. My tutor, Alex, was very prompt with marking my assignments and gave very valuable feedback.”

“Course materials are usually helpful but delivery is inconsistent and feels cobbled together. The tutor support is prompt but there should be the opportunity to communicate with tutor on phone particularly at the beginning. I know the org needs to make money so supply of direct support would need to be rationed but I feel this could be achieved by a token system duty tutor Roster.”

“The course was excellent. The tutor for the in class sessions was enthusiastic, detailed in his approach and very good at getting students engaged. The online part of the course had excellent videos, well thought out assignments and a decent degree of difficulty ensuring that you feel a sense of achievement on completion. I particularly enjoyed the modules on Grammar and Methodology which were extremely thorough and I feel they will set me up very well for a career teaching English.”

“The course itself was great and the content was relatively straightforward to work through. I now feel prepared to start teaching online. For anyone feeling pressured to sign up due to the discounts, just keep in mind the discounts are very frequent so don't rush into buying the course if you're not fully sure because there is time. Other than that, very excited for the opportunities this qual is going to provide for my working & traveling future. Thanks, TEFL team :)”

“I enjoyed the course, especially the Methodology part. It really gave me what I was looking for. Video observations were very refreshing and helpful as they connected theory with practise. Real life situations from classes were inspiring. Teaching large classes course was a bit dissappointment. First of all, I think teaching classes of 40+ students is accademic level and I am not sure if anybody of us would have a courage to do so and secondly, I was really missing videos. It was full of theory, but I would really like to see how teaching is done in such a large class. Videos would be great help here. That's why assignment was difficult because practical examples are missing in this module. The same for Telephone teaching course. I would really love to see a video from such class. Adding such videos might be very helpful for future students. Thanks to this course I feel more confident that I will be able to prepare a good-quality teaching plan full of fun activities :) Thank you, Silvia”

“I loved the course. I was hesitant before starting it as it is quite intensive but it really helped to consolidate everything I covered in the 120 hour grammar course. Loads of ideas & incentive to really get going with on-line teaching! Also loved the added perk of interacting with fellow students from all over the world.”
