“Poor value for money considering it is online and self taught. Stay away from 120hr or 200hr level 5 you prefer face to face teaching. Application for jobs is non existent as there are no links to apply directly. Just a pointless course to do as if you are teaching and travelling on gap year then can complete the tefl free of charge.”

We try to make it clear on the website that the online training courses do not offer face to face training, but that this can be added at a later time, or combined with the online training in our combined course options. With regard to the job centre, you should be able to access the application links and emails if you log out of your student account and then back in on the job centre, but do get in touch over the phone, chat or email if this is not working for you. With a TEFL Org certification, you would be eligible for teaching positions all over the world or online, so our team work to get you to where you would like to be teaching. “TEFL should tell you beforehand that if you apply for an extension and finish beforehand you will not get a refund for it. Sometimes you wait for feedback too long. But I did enjoy the course”

“I felt that the courses were challenging and contained the basics of teaching methodology however some of the assignments were not easy to complete individually. I feel that it would have been more helpful to have experienced teachers to work with to create lesson plans. I also feel that too much emphasis was placed on theology and not enough on lesson plan creation.”

“The program platform was easy to use. However, as someone who literally went to University and received a degree in this and then has spent the last ten years teaching and managing teachers, the scoring process was not great. It honestly felt like the mentor had a required quota of rejecting a certain percentage of assignments or something. I had assignments returned for some ridiculous (to me at least) reasons and the fact you are not able to discuss anything with the mentor is frustrating. For example, I had an assignment returned once because it was deemed too advanced for the age group. However, it is literally an assignment that I & my teachers have presented to age 3 students many times as a regular part of our curriculum. My only other criticism is the word limits are a bit restrictive. Particularly if you want lesson plans to be redundant to verify understanding, there must be a slightly higher word count allowed. There was a good amount of explanation and clarification that I was forced to cut in order to submit within the target word count.”

“I enjoyed the 120-hour course and found it to be informative. The tutor feedback was thorough and helpful, especially regarding earlier assignments (later assignments could have maybe used some more feedback or advice). My biggest issue is with your website: often when loading a page, the previously loaded page would appear instead, forcing me to reload regularly.”

“I’m blown away at how thorough, well organized, and relevant each of the modules and the virtual classroom are. Both my classroom instructor(Joanna) and my tutor (Asif), taught me so much. I didn’t want the experience to end. I’ve already got a job teaching ESL, and I know I’m going to love it. Don’t expect the work to be easy, do expect to be supported and get there, but after you understand and are prepared as thoroughly as possible. This was an incredible journey for me and it marvelously continues, as education does! I’ve already recommended the program to a friend searching for a job with a purpose. Thank you to my teacher and tutor and those who made such terrific and interesting modules. I loved the whole journey. If you’re wondering if you should sign up, don’t, just do it!”

“The classroom video lesson examples could be better. In some of them, student responses were inaudible. Overall, the course is well-structured. However, it is disappointing that on your website, currently, there are job options only for native English speakers and one online English tutor job for the company that pays the least. You advertise your course as suitable for non-native English speakers like myself to acquire the necessary skills and credentials to get employed. Therefore, I am not likely to recommend your course to anyone.”

“The presentation of the material was very organized. The material was sometimes a bit hard to understand because of how things are worded, but overall it was helpful and resourceful material. I loved being able to complete the TEFL at my own pace! Being assigned a tutor was also very neat. She, my tutor, gave me great feedback and resources to use for the future. I completed level 5, which is the highest and most difficult level, but it was so worth it!”
