“Some lessons, like grammar, were enjoyable to learn. I already teach students, though, so some of the assignment feedback didn't make sense to me, and my thoughts differed from the tutors.”

“The course was interesting and I learned a lot of great skills from it. I actually feel more confident now in becoming an English teacher! My tutor Thomas was also very helpful and gave good advice/feedback on my assignments. I’m currently thinking about doing one of the Advanced courses next, that’s how much I enjoyed it. Thank you!”

“I really enjoyed my TEFL course. There is a lot more to teaching English than I realised and this course took me through everything. The lesson planning was very insightful. Arthur, who was my assigned tutor gave me brilliant feedback and helped me improve my lesson planning.”

“I thought the course was good, easy to navigate and consisted of good material. However I feel there could have more of an interaction in regards to practising the material with a tutor one on one. I don't feel confident to start teaching yet.”

“I have recently completed my 120 hour TEFL course and I would highly recommend for anyone interested in starting teaching English as a foreign language. Each module was very informative, and the heavier grammar modules were interesting and kept me motivated. There is a mix or resources used, and the feedback given after each assignment has been, and will continue to be valuable in my career.”

“TEFL.org provides a fairly efficient and easy-to-grasp course, with a variety of content and a tonne of useful information. With a fair amount of videos and quizzes, the assignments are varied and kept interesting, hopefully keeping the student motivated to continue with each course. Some of the courses may feel a little drawn out or repetitive, but TEFL.org combats this by providing great support from the tutors.”

“Overall great experience. I was already proficient with the English language but was able to learn more of its intricacies than I expected. Simon was the virtual class tutor and he was fantastic; not only did I learn how to efficiently teach this language, but also learnt how to be a better teacher in general. “A well-organised course, which I found very interesting and in some ways addictive. The regular quizzes are enjoyable, whilst the mandatory assessments are challenging (as much due to the word restrictions). My criticisms would be i) videos, ii) typos, iii) length of the 'how to teach module'. i) Videos are generally of a very good standard and the individuals are generally very good, but Alan doesn't come across well at all. ii) Someone needs to double-check the written content as there were too many typos for a course teaching English. iii) 300 modules in the 'How to teach' section is simply de-motivating. To see that you still have 280....260....200...150 to complete would be a turn-off for some.”

“I thought the TEFL course was very good. The instructor was timely in her replies and helped to shape the lessons I planned more accurately to reflect what I had intended. The lessons that specified what level and age of the intended students were easier to write and target their specific needs. I intend to apply for jobs with TEFL to teach online.
