“I believe that this qualification is extremely high level and that I can obtain lots of great qualities and benefits from it in the future! The feedback was relatively quick, however, I wish the comments can be more specific as I sometimes felt confused about what exactly I was doing wrong.”

“I found the course very comprehensive. The grammar unit is very useful, though I felt a little sparse as I did think, "How on earth would I teach this?". I appreciate that you recommend buying a good grammar book. The lesson plan formats are very good and I wished I'd had some of this teaching before taking my PGCE as it would have enhanced and simplified my planning. However, as an experienced English Lang/Lit teacher, I do find that teaching English as Foreign Language is more complicated than the course appears and some may find it challenging.”

“Now that I've completed this informative, interesting and enjoyable course, I feel confident and equipped to begin teaching any kind of lesson; from a large IRL class to one-on-one online. “I really enjoyed the class! I like how I was able to complete it at my pace but still had a dedicated live tutor to help as well. I got a lot of great feedback from my tutor on my assignments and that helped me a lot! He was also helpful outside of assignments and always graded my assignments in the timeline that he said he would. I like how the class is set up. The videos of watching the teachers teach was so helpful as I went through the class too. They make a difference. Overall this was a great experience and one I would definitely recommend!”

“Hi there thank you. Honestly I think the course could use a lot of updating. It’s clearly dated and there’s so many options these days for presenting material in a way more dynamic way. People standing talking on screen is not the way to go anymore. I also felt the order of the material didn’t make sense. For instance had I known that business English was a possibility to teach I would’ve approach the material in a way different way. Feels to me like there should be maybe two courses one that is grammar and more nuts and bolts of English. I also feel like teaching children is a very specific methodology versus teaching adults. I thought it was insane and unfair that we were asked to write a teaching plan and really had not been specifically walked through writing one. That took me four tries to get a pass. I also think teaching in person versus teaching remotely are very different animals and that should be one course and one course should be teaching in person. Anyway I know from looking at some of the dates of the materials that this is not been updated in a long time and I think it shows. Now it’s on you guys to do the work”

“The course seemed well organized and effective. My tutor (Thomas) was also helpful in his feedback and in providing extra resources and friendly guidance. The only complaint I really have about the course is that in some of the video clips the students' voices are hard to hear sometimes. It would be wise to apply some audio volume normalization (i.e. "compression" of volume in sound engineering terms, not to be confused with file size "compression") so that the teacher's and students' volumes become roughly the same in all the videos. That would be a big improvement for intelligibility of the students' responses.”

“Tutor was great. The online lesson course needs tangible examples...even simple things like how to share a screen, chat, mute etc. Some of the general quiz questions passed from being ridiculously simple to almost impossible due to wording. Thanks a million guys”

“Well structured, intense at times and essential to my career plans. This course was clever in the way didn't 'spoon-feed' me when it came to the harder assignments. This tested me and gave me the confidence in my planning. The tutor feedback was invaluable and will still be looked back on as guidance. Many thanks for a rewarding course!”

“I don't like course/school work, but TEFLorg made it easier to complete with the help from the online portion (140hour course) and with the tutor. My tutor made sure I did the assignments correctly instead of passing me to pass me and I appreciate that. I had some tricky sections where I had to do more research to understand the material cause I didn't remember or was taught certain methods or terms. The online portion where it talks about Skype and Zoom could be updated and talked about on since online teaching has furthered so much these last few years. But overall TEFLorg made it possible for me to get certified to teach abroad and with that I am grateful!!”
