“I thought I would speed through this course but I took as long as I needed and used the whole 6 months! They work to vary the content with videos vs. lectures vs. readings etc. It is an online course and the grammar stuff can be a bit dense to get through, but 6 months is plenty of time.”

“This is my second online course with Tefl. It was the advanced 20 hour teaching English online. I found the course easy to navigate through and my assignment was marked promptly and I also received some helpful feedback back from the course tutor.”

“I think the overall content is good, with a strong focus on practical situations and applicable knowledge. There are several videos that I think ought to be reviewed, for instance the video on tutoring, sample lesson. The teacher in the video shows little inclination to adapt her tl to the students need. The student states that what she needs is practice speaking, instead the focus of the lesson is on some insultingly basic vocabulary. I also felt that the scope of allowed solutions to the written assignments was too narrow, and that all creativity in writing lesson plans was punished until I settled for writing extremely bland texts.”

“In addition to my previous review of the 20-hour virtual online course: All of the extra resources that you get from this course are helpful. Inspiring new and useful ideas for the aspiring teacher. I've already utilized some of these ideas -immediately upon receiving and learning of them (to great effect)- with my students. I've found the customer service to be top-notch! They were prompt, friendly, helpful and efficient; Who could ask for better than that? The price-to-quality ratio of this course is worth it! If you feel that you're ready (you don't have to know everything; the course helps you with what you'll need) to learn & to teach- the tutors will guide you; customer service will help you; your pocket(s), wallet, purse or credit card will thank you! ...Best..!”

“I thought the course was well paced, informative and provided great examples. My favorite part was the virtual portion, I learned so much about preparing a lesson and how to get the most out of your sessions and I enjoyed the teacher and meeting other folks going through the class. I actually liked that I did the virtual portion earlier on before I did the grammar course. Everything made much more sense and I was able to apply it. The only thing I would have liked to see is a demonstration of a class that is at a lower level, (beginner) to apply some of these concepts but all in all I think it was great!!! Thanks for a great experience!”

“Overall the course was great and really useful. Only issue was how short some of the assignments were - it would be more helpful to be able to be more in depth in all assignments. I found the bigger assignments much more beneficial. My tutor got everything back to me quickly and was very helpful. Only other note would be that the telephone teaching module seemed really outdated as online teaching is now extremely common.”

“Thank you for your message. I enjoyed the course as I believe I learned a lot of useful concepts. One thing I would have liked to have had is a list of suggested further reading. Perhaps a book on how to design resources since it appears that most of the resources will be authentic and not out of a textbook. That is the only thing I would add. The payment and sign up was easy and the assessments were straight forward.”

“Theory lessons are very effective. Classroom videos are very nice but need more voice clarity of students ineraction to get better clarity on the discussions. Feedback of assignment provides good guidance. A few lesson plan structure could be of more help. Overall experience of TEFL is superb.”

“So far, I have completed the 20-hour virtual weekend course. The content was really excellent! However, I would like to mention, IMO, that content is only as good as the tutor who delivers it. For example; I have (we all have) come across the Tenses many times, and from many sources, but our tutor's personality, his original and unique way of presenting the content was clear, easy to understand, and...well...just fantastic! It was a real pleasure, and inspiring, to be guided by him throughout the course. His personality, intellect, experience, knowledge, and methods are worthy of praise !! His feedback was honest and constructive, and helped everyone in the group to gain the confidence they needed to improve their teaching skills. Priceless! [Thank you, Steve.] If you are if any doubt about this course, my advice is; Don't be! Jump unhesitatingly onboard! You shouldn't regret it !! I highly, HIGHLY recommend. ...Best... !!”

“I did the 150 hour course and found it very helpful to have the combination of class and online. Our tutor was great and super engaging. I do feel I would have got more out of the class if I'd gone through the whole online course prior to in person class so that could be a suggestion for the future.”
