“The TEFL course was extremely informative and I like the use of video teaching and I love how the course shows you examples of how to teach adults and young learners. My Tutor Asif has been absolutely amazing and he gave detailed feedback on my assignments and helped me if I was struggling. Couldn’t recommend this course more.”

“The course was really helpful for learning English and I especially think the grammar section was delivered well. It should be modernised though to consider language learning platforms like Preply iTalki etc.”

“I just finished the 120-hour course with a virtual weekend class, and the virtual weekend class was by far the best part of the experience. I haven't taken any other TEFL certificates to compare this to, but the course materials are unnecessarily long-winded, occasionally contradictory, and scattered with typos. Assignments were confusingly laid out. I felt like I was fighting against the course structure sometimes. They package up short modules like Business English and Large Classes into the larger certificate, but these contain almost no useful information (certainly nothing you can't find from free resources). I wish I hadn't had to sign up for these to get the certificate. The Grammar and Methodology (and some of the Video Observation) modules have a lot of information, albeit laid out in a way that can be hard to take notes from, but I would mostly recommend the live course. You get a chance to deliver a lesson, observe others delivering lessons, and then get real-time feedback from a tutor. I did the live course after completing the asynchronous course, which I would recommend doing, as it gave me the chance to implement the teaching methodology I'd learned.”

“The modules and the quiz are a great way to assess the lessons, though some of the quizzes are too simple and doesn’t require a second thought to mark the right answer whereas some just need lots and lots of thinking and repeated play of the videos.”

“Really enjoyed this course and learn't so much which I am able to apply already to my part-time job. I did the course whilst working full time which was tough trying to finish it within the 6 months but I only just managed it!”

“I thought the course is generally good but the marking process could have been a bit more interactive and clear. I felt that what I was doing and the initial feedback was not clear and if there was a chance to speak to the marker perhaps things could have been smoothed up faster. I resubmitted 5 times which I thought was unnecessary as it was good enough to have a pass at least from the third submission with clear explanations about the changes necessary for that stage.”

“Good modules, content was engaging. I got some feedback from one tutor which was helpful, but only got feedback from the other if it was negative. If you don't get feedback you don't receive a notification you've passed/failed, so maybe a minor point but it was frustrating having to keep checking.”

“The videos were clear and easy to follow. I enjoyed the activities, it allowed me to realise how much I knew and what I needed to focus on. Even though the course was online I would feel confident about planning and delivering a class in the future. It has made me look forward to the possibilities the certificate can bring me. Despite my being in another country, the Tefl team ensured my enquiries were answered quickly and often on the same day, this helped me a lot and I really appreciated the dedication of the team.”

“I wanted to learn more about teaching English and I think getting Tefl certificate has been definitely useful. I had the time to work on it around my working and personal life commitments as you get up to 6 months to complete it. “When I was researching online to train as a TEFL teacher, I was initially overwhelmed by the choice of who to study with, but TEFL.org appealed to me and I have no regrets. The website/portal works very well and I enjoyed the challenge of the combined online course (120 hr plus 20 hours of classroom time) My designated tutor Alex was always prompt with marking my assignments and very supportive throughout. The 20 hr classroom course (over 2 days) was enjoyable too. Asif delivered his classes with confidence, enthusiasm and humour. I would recommend this course as a stable foundation for a TEFL career. There are also opportunities to study further and the relative cost of the course/s is very reasonable for what you get. I also like the fact that in writing this review that my grammar is still being corrected!”
