“I took the 120-hour online course and really enjoyed it! The course covered so much information and I learned things about English that I didn't know, even as a native speaker! I'm still nervous to start my TEFL career, but I am much better prepared now that I know how to make lesson plans and structure a class, and I love that TEFL provides us with access to so many great resources.”

“A very thorough course, at times a bit frustrating, but I must say I learned a lot, as I was in the medical field and do not have a teaching background. This course, together with my ESL volunteering, has made me feel prepared and ready to help students.”

“The course was good. I would have liked there to be more lesson plans included and I could have done with more on business english content. Also I would have liked to know the levels of the students in the example video lessons and more ways of teaching fun activities online and to adults as most of my students are business english adults online and there wasn't much targeted towards them.”

“The quality overall was ok. As an individual with prior teaching experience content wise the pedagogy was sound. Tutor feedback was simple and accurate. Video and audio quality could be improved upon significantly. Particularly the sound balancing which was at times poor. Also, the two primary actors/presenters for most of the content were a touch patchy in their delivery, an issue made all the more apparent by the sudden improved presentation in found in the Telephone Teaching course due to personnel change. A final comment. A proof reader needs to go through the course text again. At times the text is in American English and at other British English and in the most egregious example (Methodology Unit 4 Module 17 of 31) both forms used within the same sentence. Along with, multiple other typos, this apparent lack of standardisation doesn’t give the best impression given the subject matter at hand.”

“It's a crash course and for the price, one cannot expect too much. Cannot compare it with any other TEFL providers as this is the only course I've undertaken. It certainly gives a very good foundation on which to build one's teaching experience. One criticism would be that all of the video classroom teachings were with students who understood English and could speak English pretty well. Much of the assignment feedback said "the students don't understand you and you don't speak their language..." Therefore it would have been helpful if there were some visual examples of how a teacher would run a class of beginners.”

“TEFL is a great way to find out what it takes to become an English teacher. They provide structure, the lessons are mostly clear and there are tools to get it done. Regarding the assignments, the feedback from the tutor (Asif) was key for me, as he had a pretty clear way of guiding me. I do think some things are missing from this course. It would be cool if there would be task reminders or ways to set deadlines and be reminded. I also missed smaller tasks, building up to the main assignments, but hey! Always room for improvement. I will recommend this to anyone interested in becoming a licensed TEFL teacher.”

“overall good experience with quick feedback from my tutor. did not particularly like the style of two of the presenters of the topics in the modules (long weird pauses of staring at the camera, slow to get to the point of the module). I enjoyed the teaching/classroom example videos!”

“Simon was an amazing teacher. As I hadn't done any previous TEFL training, it was a dive into the deep end but the level of teaching and expertise was second to none. I would highly recommend Simon as a teacher and the weekend TEFL course as a starter or as part of the 120 training.”

“I have just concluded my 188-hour TEFL course with the teaching weekend ran by Simon who was superb! His wealth of knowledge in this field is incredible and he was able to give insightful responses to my many questions. “The courses were extremely well structured, methods were clearly explained and my tutor was highly efficient and constructive. Teachers made learning fun for us, as they did for the foreign language students they taught, so studying was very enjoyable experience. My only criticism is that there wasn't always a video of a lesson in progress as an example of how to teach which I found one of the most helpful parts of the course.”

“This course was for sure one of the best among I have ever had. It's theoretical part which is delivered in a very clear and not boring at all way. It is also full of fantastic video examples and quizzes that are extremely helpful during studying. My tutor Steve helped me a lot always giving a right advice and explaining all the moments that turned to be challenging to me. All in all, it was a great experience!”
