“I would highly recommend the 168 hour TEFL bundle. I’m a native English speaker and found the modules on English grammar a steep learning curve for me! I live with a disability which would make it impossible to have studied Level 5 TEFL in a classroom setting. With this programme, I’ve been able to set my own pace, but there were times that I’d want to keep working through modules. The fact that it is so easy to see the milestones in the programme is great! The mix of classroom based videos showing applied methodology, quizzes and more substantive assignments allowed for a very satisfying learning experience. It is evident that TEFL Org really are passionate about their field, and not just another training provider delivering a course. Feedback was always constructive, and full of other ideas for the module. I’m now feel equipped to start delivering TEFL programmes both in the charity I work with (for newcomer young people) and online! I’ve a feeling Ill be back for more TEFL Org courses as this element of my career progresses!”

“I think anyone who has never taught will struggle with this course. The assignments were particularly challenging even with 24 yrs of post-secondary experience. The majority of my submissions I had to redo. My tutor's reponses were in point form, not complete sentences. Until Fiona. I spent hours online trying to figure it out, as the quizzes were easy that sets up an expectation.”

“The course is OK. The assignments seemed to be a bit of a shot in the dark. I also found the tutors feedback to be more confusing than useful. As an example, I submitted an assignment which didn't pass. I took all the feedback on board and resubmitted it. I was then told to pay attention to the feedback...?!?!? Seemed like different tutors were grading the assignment.”

“Getting my TEFL certification was a seamless process from start to finish. The pre-course modules not only helped me prepare for the course, but also did a great job of creating a baseline for all the students in the class, regardless of their prior teaching experience. The instructor, Michela, was lively and did a great job keeping us engaged not only to learn and synthesize information but also to experience and empathize with the role of being a foreign language learner ourselves. Since Michela is a native Italian speaker, she used our unfamiliarity with Italian to convey the experience of a beginner or elementary level language learner, which helped us truly understand the necessary steps in teaching English as a foreign language. Despite the limited amount of time we had, the TEFL course exceeded my expectations and taught me a lot.”

“Good morning. Overall the course was helpful and informative. I enjoyed the information. However, the grammar section was very disappointing. There were several mistakes, such calling a predicate nominative a direct object and calling an object of the preposition an indirect object. Furthermore, there is over-reliance on using apostrophes. When writing, writing everything out is best. Then there is no confusion. For instance, is he'd run he would run or he had run? Just write it out. In addition, one assignment, I believe it was the past continuous interrupted lesson plan, was on a subject not taught. Perhaps I missed the information on past continuous interrupted even though I looked for it in the lessons a few times before writing the paper. Perhaps someone can go through the content of the courses and make the necessary corrections?”

“It's good for a quick qualification but not if you actually are looking for help trying to understand English grammar. So many complicated grammatical structures were skimmed over with a few sentences and then you had a quiz. When I finally reached out for help because I was really struggling with understanding and identifying the subject, participle, object, and verb in complex sentences, my tutor just sent an email 2 days later that said "good to hear from you" with an extremely unhelpful youtube video.”

“I took the 120-Hour TEFL course and it was a great experience. The revision of English grammar was very useful, because they show you how to teach grammar. Surprisingly, I even learned new things! What was completely unknown to me though were the different teaching methods and structures. TEFL teaches you how to organize your lessons in a way that will maximize the students' learning process. They even gave us short snippets on how to teach large classes, one-on-one tutoring, and telephone classes. What I liked about this course is that it's comprised of multiple quizzes and assignments rather than one big final test. This helps you practice every module in detail. I intend on applying to the JET program and I'm certain that this certificate will help me achieve my goal.”

“Ok course. The assignments can be quite misleading and the feedback can be very confusing. I failed one assignment and took the feedback on board, changed my answer and submitted it. Only to be told I had done it wrong and needed to pay attention to the feedback...??? Also some of the quiz questions are subjective which I found extremely frustrating. There is no guidance in the forum and I couldn't find a way to contact my tutor. All in all its an OK course. You get what you pay for.”

“I really enjoyed this course but the only thing I’d say is the directions on assignments need to be more clear. Some assignments where quiet misleading! My tutor provided great feedback and made sure I understood the assignment if I didn’t get it correct the first time.”
