"Very good program for those who want to receive a thorough introduction and practical training to teach English as a second language. \r\nI decided to get a certification because I wanted to start teaching English in Italy. I have been an academic for many years, teaching in the US and UK. I am an historian by training and I wanted to get the appropriate qualification for teaching English as a second language. The Tefl experience has far exceeded my expectations and has provided me with the necessary conceptual tools and methodology training I need to weather the very broad field of ESL. I must say that I am very proud to be a TEFL qualified teacher. I also found all the advice you offer on the website regarding which program is best suited for a prospective buyer and for finding a job as a TEFL teacher very useful, because it is very practical, and realistic and therefore trustworthy. The Business and Online teaching modules are not as thorough as the part on methodology, because, obviously, they are sold as separate additional courses, but they are still good enough to provide general guidelines for starters. Overall I learnt a lot and I feel much more confident now, when I think about facing my first English language students. \r\n\r\nA final word of appreciation for all the very professional teachers and for my tutor Dee, whom I thank for all her precious feedback and incredibly fast marking performance. Special thanks to Joe for all his good English grammar lessons and, no less importantly, for the very funny \u201cbad PPP lessons\u201d which was amazing! I wondered if he got any professional acting training! And great scripts too!
