“Overall I liked the course and found the methodology module to be particularly comprehensive and useful. The course is well organised and easy to follow and the assignments felt very in-line with the material covered. My main criticm is that the demonstration classes used never varied in size, age or ability- it was always the same 8 students. It would have been useful to see more examples and how lesson delivery is adpated to adjust. Also, during the teaching-writing portion of the methodoly module, the students were in a classroom without any tables which felt unrealistic, unpractical and unadapted for the purpose of that portion of the module. The materials also, at times, felt outdated. For example the telephone teaching module. It would be great if this was updated with a focus on zoom, google meets, preply etc.”

“The lessons seemed very intentional and were interesting to watch, especially those that were recorded as classroom lesson examples. Having the quizzes in each module was also helpful, because it tested my knowledge as well as provided me with a summary of what was taught.”

“The course was informative and interesting. But honestly the organisation and communication is abysmal. From giving assignments way before fully teaching topics, to conflicting feedback on assigment which lead to me nearly failing out, and being told because of this it would be escalated to senior course management, only to then hear nothing from anyone. When after 2 weeks of silence I asked what was going on, and was told to reread the email as it wasn't going to be escalated and I needed to recomplete the assignment, even though the email outright said "this will now have to be escalated to senior course management" Near the end of my course i got an email accusing me of using AI to cheat, only to then get to the end of the email and seeing that the email wasn't actually meant for me whatsoever. Overall, it really makes me nervous to even apply for jobs with you. Moreover, even though I have finished the course, I don't actually have any personal confidence I can write lesson plans, not only from my own anxiety but also from mixed messaged I have received about my own assignments as mentioned above. I do not regret taking this course as it helps me move forward and opens new employment opportunities. But I am left wondering if it was worth it all, or will even pay off at all.”
