“The course is well structured with clear objectives. The support provided through an online tutor is very helpful. I would have liked to have a few more examples of real lessons in a classroom environment. Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed the course. Thank you”

“I've enjoyed a very positive experience studying with TEFL. I think the way the modules are designed is really good and the videos with classroom demonstrations were really helpful. Being able to study at my own pace meant that I was able to fit learning around home and work and pick up easily where I left off. To consolidate learning I was able to move backwards at my leisure and revisit previous materials. I think some of the test questions around the Telephone Teaching module were quite ambiguous and were perhaps worded a bit clumsily. I think that a clearer distinction could be made between Telephone (audio only) and Telephone (VoIP - which might include elements of face to face teaching). Also whilst the feedback for the Methodology assignments was helpful, where part of the answer needed revisiting, then it would be more helpful to advise the student what they need to be thinking about or which part(s) of the course they might need to revisit because sometimes the feedback felt a little bit pedantic and I appreciate that this would never have been the intention of the Tutor.”

“The five stars are for the content, but I would be happier with less multiple choice questions and more other options for assessment, even if I would have to pay a higher rate. I also would recommend to offer a combination of the level 5 course with a course for practice.”

“I'm glad I chose to do my TEFL through TELF Org. I enjoyed the units and modules and feel the assignments have prepared me well for any future work I may have. The weekly live streams as well as the opportunities to find work through TEFL Org are something I appreciate. I also believe there are also teaching resources available to me if ever I need them - this may be very helpful.”

“Good organisation to support studying English and becoming a qualified English Teacher. Level 5 course I completed refreshed my knowledge of methodology from over 20 years ago. I would like to encourage TEFL to look into implementing some changes/improvements to tailor the course to the needs of neurodivergent (mature) learners and those with ADHD. I struggled with the longest and most important to me section, which was methodology. Of course, the content cannot change however you may look into introducing some ways to make this easier for neurodivergent learners. Otherwise, I thank you for allowing me to study with you.”

“I think the course is very well organized and explained very well. I expected it to be easier, but it does require you to dedicate time and do research for your assignments. The video observation course was extremely helpful for giving an example on how each type of lecture should look like.”

“This deals with the Teaching Business English course. There are two assignments. On assignment 1, the outline has a mistake. The lessons are misnumbered. Thanks. Week 2 Lesson 2 (one hour) Objective Resource 1 Resource 2 Activity 1 Skills practised: Reasons for choice Activity 2 Skills practised: Reasons for choice Lesson 1 (one hour) Objective Resource 1 Also, a testing expert should review all of your test questions in all the courses. “I liked the overall experience. The only negative I'd have would be that the Large Classes Course lacks a class example video. It has a lot of theory but it lacks on the practical side. I found a better balance in the other courses.”

“This certification program is the best in my opinion. It was thorough and actually exceeded my expectations since it included telephone, large group and Business English components: a true all-in-one course. Sometimes, I had to wait over 3 days for a reply from my tutor. I would say that the tutor has room fro improvement and could have been more enthusiastic and motivational in her feedback.”

“I found the grammar and methodology courses to be very good and helpful in preparing me to teach. The large classes and telephone teaching courses would benefit by having a few video examples. I appreciated the support and examples from my tutor.”

“I really like learning about PPP and ESL lesson structures, that stuff was cool and I'm definitely going to incorporate it into my work. The lesson was also quite modernised and I liked the move away from old outdated learning methods that I'm used to. The presenters were good and it was logical and easy to follow”
