“As a native English speaker I thought that the 120 hour TEFL course would be easy. There was so much I didn't know! Courses are very well designed, easy to follow and very informative. After completing four courses here, I feel confident that I have all of the knowledge and tools I need to teach English as a foreign language. Also Business English, Exam preparation and Teaching young learners. Alex my tutor was very supportive and prompt in replying. Detailed feedback was given and suggestions for different ideas and resources to use. I would highly recommend these courses and TEFL.org. “Course as a whole is incredibly inconsistent and disorganized. I had considerable difficulties with my assignments, which often had rather vague instructions and unreasonably small word counts and overstrict enforcement of them, all the while requiring very specific and detailed answers. Difficulties continued with my tutor who would give unhelpful feedback or would demand completely arbitrary additions or reworks of my submissions that were not included or required in the original instructions. There is very little support for struggling students or those with grievances, a sentiment I have seen parroted several times on the forums (the ability to post in which are placed in an obscure spot on the site) and what does exist often takes far to long to actually respond. The information offered is incredibly useful and will be advantageous to anyone looking to teach English abroad, but there are certainly much better places from which to get this information. I would highly recommend any prospective students find another place to spend their precious time and money.”

I understand your frustrations with the course, and I'm sorry you had difficulty with the assignments. “Thank you for organizing the course in a way that is inclusive for diverse groups of population and in a way that gives enough time course-takers to complete the tasks in a self-paced manner. If there were something I would like to recommend it would be creating more materials on teaching methodology. Maybe even creating either a channel or a library or something else that would have teachers talking about some of the issues that arise during their practice and sharing their solutions that are based on this methodology.”

“I would recommend TEFL for anybody,any age group above 18yrs and older. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for personal upgrade or for teaching. It will build your confidence and help you with your job search. I love teaching English and am also Tutoring from kindergarten to grade 6. Taking TEFL was a boost for myself and an upgrade and I got to learn more new things that would be helpful for long distance learning or telephone teaching. I had trouble with one of my test and I got a really good support from from both of my coach tutors as I was guided every step which made it so much easier for me and finally I passed my exam.”

“I enjoyed the challenge of the course from start to finish. I am already a teacher of Science and Maths but wanted to be able to teach TEFL in the future. I was surprised, as a native English speaker, by how little I knew about English grammar. I particularly enjoyed watching the lessons given by the Tutors, these were invaluable resources. It has been an adventure from start to finish and I would recommend this course to anyone interested in starting their TEFL journey”

“The course was very challenging probably if i compare the course to other course providers the difficulty might be the same level. Feedbacks were really helpful. If i didn't know where I failed that would be so scary but since i knew where i made a mistake i wasn't scared this made the course bearable. And the tutors that gives feedback are really so kind. The course improved my writing skills.(Be prepared for that lol. I think that's the most important skill i got from this course.) Since if i had to teach in person to medium size classes the course would be amazing but I'm mostly interested in online teaching so the only part that really helpful for me was online teaching part so be careful when you choose a course if you can pick online teaching or something if it's accepted and well respected i would recommend choosing the course that you need. But i wanna make one critisim. Online teaching (telephone teachine) part was so little there were many assignments for each unit but this one only had one that's a shame i would expect at least 2 assignment from this. Instead of Large classes because probably no one is gonna teach to 60 students but it's more possible people work online to teach. Also the course cannot be completed "easily" if the students English level is low i would say at least B2 level in everything speaking, writing, reading, listening. I had no problem with that part because I'm half native since I'm using only English in my life. I recommend the course to anyone who wants to be an English teacher in a normal class in person.”

“I found the course pretty good, but the process of getting certified after the course is not. First off, I finished the entire course only to learn three weeks later that it wasn't done because not all of the pages were marked as "read". I marked them all as "read" in about five minutes. It's now been perhaps I week or two, and I still don't have any certificate. I would need to find out if I can even get any decent work with no degree and your certificate before I can really form an opinion.”

Now that you will have received your course completed email, you will normally receive your certificate within 2 weeks of this. Certificates for level 5 courses can take up to two weeks to process.
