“I just started the course. I finished the first module (nouns) of the grammar course. So far so good. I didn't rate TEFL higher at this point because I'm just starting out. I thought the video on class instruction should have included what age group the instruction was meant for as the concepts were difficult for the students to understand (at least that was my take on the video). I am grateful that my mentor Denise has already reached out to me! I look forward to what the next part of the grammar course has to teach me and when I finally get past grammar into the coursework that counts towards the certificate. Thank you.”

“Queries are never resolved and the communication is very horrible. The tutors are not easily reachable and even trying to get any sort of help is very frustrating and not professional. Once you pay you are on your own. Try find a different and better place to study your English course this place is not worth it.”

“I think you are missing to provide sample ( examples) for each unit . For example when doing PPP I was hoping to see a PDF files and a sample that I could help guide me to write a lecture plan . This is missing in your teaching.”

“Hi Alan, I am taking the 120-hour online course and I am in the process of completing the grammar module. It is user friendly and I like the demos - it helps to see an actual lesson in a classroom setting. I would highly recommend the course for anyone who is thinking about it.”

“I never began the (120hr) online course so this is not a review of the service and delivery of the course curriculum itself. This 1 star rating is a complaint based on their lack of transparency and customer service regarding the conditions of the course timeframe. I did not begin the course, I did not even agree to the terms and conditions however the 6month expiry began from point of purchase. They did not notify me of this fact until 3 weeks before the expiration. NB- they confirm that on average it takes people 10-12 weeks to complete the course, so why didn't they notify me sooner given they knew I hadn't started. They were keen to offer me a costly extension. Don't rush in. Their "Sale" prices are always available so don't rush the purchase to benefit from a reduced price.”

Hi, Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you had such a frustrating experience. We certainly endeavour to be transparent about our courses. We advertise that there is a time scale to complete your course within and this starts from the date of purchase. Our students can also view their own specific expiry date on their account. As this information is available before and after the course purchase we do not start to send email reminders until nearer the end of a course. We are sorry that you do not feel this information is clear enough though and would love to hear any further comments or suggestions you may have regarding this. “I completed one of the Advanced TEFL courses as a refresher since I want to return to English teaching, and found the course to be well-organised, and very detailed. Registration was straightforward, the online platform is easy to use, and detailed feedback was provided by my tutor. I'm now doing another shorter course and enjoy the regular webinars hosted on Facebook.”

“Studying this course and learning English as a Native had its challenges. But I felt that the more you went along in the course, sections became clearer. The course is very thorough. Having your tutor is so helpful. They give you great feedback on how to improve and not what you did wrong. My tutor Alex, always marked my assignments within in 2 days which was fantastic. I enjoyed and felt my ‘niche’ was the Business English so was grateful to have that opportunity as my final work. I am looking forward to using this qualification in the near future. “I thought the course was a bit shallow, as I have been teaching for a long time and just wanted the practicalities of teaching online and examples, I thought the course offer was misleading, thanks”

“I was unsure at first about spending my Saturday and Sunday mornings on the weekend online course. I found that the 4 hour sessions with Simon French were very informative, involved lots of student participation and always went by quickly. This certainly made it worth the time. The course also involved additional preparation time on the Saturdays for our lessons the following day. We were prepared for the stages of planning and were given materials beforehand which ensured that I was confident and did not spend all my evening planning. Particularly useful was the work on the phonemic chart and tips for production activities. Thank you Simon!”

“I completed the level 5 certificate. It gave me a great insight into different areas of teaching, as well as a detailed introduction to the methodology. The course then became progressively more difficult, but this introduction meant that it was a natural progression towards a successful conclusion of the course. I particularly found it rewarding, having to 'invent' all the class plans and ideas, rather than simply look up resources on line. This will stand me in good stead later in my teaching career. A great and highly rewarding experience!!”

“I really enjoyed my online TEFL course and would highly recommend people to undertake the course for it was a worthwhile experience (at least for me). I had the chance to have a very thorough Tutor (Charlei) who gave me very constructive feedback. I will definitely subscribe for another course sometime next year. “So far (I have not completed the entire course yet), the lessons have been formatted very well. They're short so you can easily tackle several in a short period of time, when I am available. I would have, however, liked to have had an option to "test out" some of the units as I am a native speaker of English and I also teach world language so I am familiar with much of the grammar. I wish there was some sort of test where a student could test out of a few units. However, I understand that the course is based on number of hours. That would be a great option for native speakers.”

“Hi there. Things have been going well so far. The only issue I have is that sometimes I am on a certain spot and it will randomly refresh to the home page. I then have to go find my place again. Kind of annoying. I don’t know if that happens to everyone or just me. Thanks.”

“I had a great time learning about the language that I speak. It was amazing how much I used, without knowing why. The school was very thorough and easy to follow, and during covid troubles they accommodated my needs perfectly. I have just finished an interview and will start work teaching online by the end of the week.”

“Sometimes the quiz answer explanations didn’t feel in depth enough. Feedback for the written assignments also varied, as word count was a big deal for me to pass but not for my friend. Other than that, TEFL was straightforward and taught me more teaching methods.”

“I enjoy that the classes are self-paced. The videos are of great quality and are concise in content. I love the fact that I can use my mobile phone to access the course. Wish there was a mobile application to make it a bit more user friendly in regards to mobile usability. Overall, this is a great course and is well worth the cost. Thank you TEFL!”
