“Content within the class was effective in illustrating teaching methodology to someone who had no formal education concerning education and minimal experience teaching beyond university tutoring. I would recommend this course to those who are new to teaching and want a well-organized introduction to teaching. while I do not think that this course will replace what I will learn through further study of tefl and on the job experience, it has given me the knowledge to begin that journey with a solid foundation. Feedback provided by the instructor felt effective in correcting mistakes in lesson plans while also adding additional information to learn and reinforcing the provided feedback. Having feedback provided on written assignments is my personal largest merit of this course over others, as I do not feel like I would have learned as much without provided feedback. While feedback was ensured to be returned within 48 hours, all my assignments were returned within 24 hours. The ordering of the course with some quiz content seemed as if it would be easier to do certain assignments after reviewing the content of later units within the class. While not a major demerit, I ultimately changed how I went through the classes as a result of this. Instead of immediately doing an assignment as it would appear in the unit, I would outline them, but then study the content of the next few units before fully drafting and submitting the assignment. For some empirical information: - The course took me four weeks to complete while working full time - The average time to complete a lesson plan assignment was 2 - 4 hours - I made a full PPP, skills, and Before, During, and After lesson plan over the course of the program, and was provided helpful feedback, corrections and further insight from the instructor within 24 hours - Generally, each unit took between 1 - 2 hours to complete all of the video and written content for the unit. Some shorter units took closer to 30 minutes, but were primarily in the shorter modules In conclusion, I am glad to have taken this program as the first step into teaching. While I plan to continue both professional practices and education in the subject, the foundation provided through this program is both solid and effective for a first-time learner. I would recommend this program to those in a similar position, who have an interest in teaching but no formal education or minimal experience that want to begin working in the field with a solid foundation to start off from.”

“I thought the course was great! I was able to learn so much from the start. Also, it gave me a lot of flexibility as I was able to complete the course at my own pace and my tutor was very quick to mark my assignments. I cannot think of anything in particular that needs to be improved except I noticed there were a few errors in regards to the layout of the website. For example, there were no spacing between certain words in some of the activities but overall, I really enjoyed doing the course.”

“Thoroughly enjoyable. The short modular structure of the course enables progression in easy chunks, and is suitably varied in delivery to maintain interest. Although the assignments were somewhat samey, they do ingrain the method of lesson planning. The course was a great experience, and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about teaching.”

“Fantastic! I enjoyed the course (I didn't realise how much I needed to re-learn about the English language since my school days!) and although I am a teacher by trade, it was useful to learn new techniques for different types of teaching (e.g. telephone teaching). My tutor (Asif) was very helpful and would get back to me promptly. The time given to complete the course is quite sufficient too.”

“A very efficient, instructive and expansive 120 hour online TEFL course was designed well for someone who needed flexibility to complete the course. Interesting content that was well-explained. Useful resources available and graphics to communicate difficult ideas. The demonstration videos could have been more instructive as I didn't feel that I gained a lot from them, and some of them didn't have transcripts to use as a hard-of-hearing person. Tests and assignments were challenging and sufficiently tested the content, but some f th later assignments I feel could have been explained better.”

“I enjoyed every part of my TEFL course. I feel as though I have come away with a wealth of new knowledge that I will be able to utilize with my students whether they are in the classroom or online. The course was challenging and the encouragement and comments that I received from my tutors were so helpful and assisted me greatly. “I absolutely enjoyed doing my TEFL 168-hour Level 5 Online course. I am a mother of two and I appreciated the flexibility very much. I just studied when I had time. Videos during the course are very helpful. Quizes are something of a fun even, I liked to know where I went wrong and still be able to correct myself. I find the course very valuable.”

“Great course, but the streaming video lagged every 10 seconds. It took an hour to download a 20 minute video from my home in Arizona.”

“I would love to know if you guys offer a Course about online classes, because this Tefl was focused on face to face classes, and not zoom or skype classes. Will that be possible one day?”

“I completed the hybrid in person and online 120 hour course and found the 2 day in person aspect to be fast paced but full of opportunity to practice key principles. I was also able to make friends with people on the course and we have kept in touch. The online aspect was well supported by my tutor who answered any and all quieres. The online resources and teaching materials were accesible and easy to follow along with. The structure of the course and placement of assessments means you are set up to succeed! Due to ill health I was required to extend my course and what was really helpful was that I could control when the extension was activated making the course work around my responsibilities / commitments / health. I’m pleased to say I passed the course and I’m very excited about what lies ahead next! This course will open up and world of opportunities!”
