“I have taken several training programmes and workshop earlier but I feel I've learnt the most from TEFL. I believe I can make teaching English fun not only for the students, but for myself too. I loved methodology course and found PPP the most effective way to plan lessons. TEFL is my best investment in my career as a teacher so far. Thank you, team TEFL. You guys are doing a great job!”

“Very good program for those who want to receive a thorough introduction and practical training to teach English as a second language. I decided to get a certification because I wanted to start teaching English in Italy. I have been an academic for many years, teaching in the US and UK. I am an historian by training and I wanted to get the appropriate qualification for teaching English as a second language. The Tefl experience has far exceeded my expectations and has provided me with the necessary conceptual tools and methodology training I need to weather the very broad field of ESL. I must say that I am very proud to be a TEFL qualified teacher. I also found all the advice you offer on the website regarding which program is best suited for a prospective buyer and for finding a job as a TEFL teacher very useful, because it is very practical, and realistic and therefore trustworthy. The Business and Online teaching modules are not as thorough as the part on methodology, because, obviously, they are sold as separate additional courses, but they are still good enough to provide general guidelines for starters. Overall I learnt a lot and I feel much more confident now, when I think about facing my first English language students. A final word of appreciation for all the very professional teachers and for my tutor Dee, whom I thank for all her precious feedback and incredibly fast marking performance. Special thanks to Joe for all his good English grammar lessons and, no less importantly, for the very funny “bad PPP lessons” which was amazing! I wondered if he got any professional acting training! And great scripts too! It must have been very hard for the students not to laugh while you were shooting it! Thank you for a very informative and enriching learning experience!”

“The TEFL Org is a very good place to study TEFL, my teacher is very professional and helpful, she gave me great help in correcting my assignments, her seriousness forced me to improved much. Also, at the end of finishing my study and obtaining the certificate, I encountered problem because of my overlooking my one assignment and passing my program ending time, I thank you so much for the management of TEFL Org’s great help by letting me chance to re-do my unfinished assignment, then, they granted the certificate quickly.”

“I was very happy with how this course was laid out online, all of its presenters and demonstrations were very professional. The system of the online course was very comprehensive and I definitely learned a lot of new and interesting points about my own native language. The quizzes along the way were very helpful as they kept me focused and ultimately helped my memory for the course assignments. My tutor Stephen was great, he kept in contact and was there when I needed his support and gave me wonderful feedback. I would highly recommend this online course because it really worked. The ability to do the course at my own pace and in the comfort of my own home was fantastic while all the time keeping the delivery of the content to a very high standard. I am very happy that I chose TEFL.org.”

“I found the TEFL course to be very informative and enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed the grammar section as a recap. It made me aware of how difficult it can for foreign students learning English, especially the grammar module. The 'Teaching Large Classes' module was the most challenging at the end when trying to complete the tests, but the constant revision and going back to revise has given me a clear vision and I feel I understand the module very well, so it was worth it. Thank you.”

“It was a great course. The modules were very well organized and logical in progression, and the units had plenty of variety. I liked how bite-sized the lessons felt because you could really go at your pace and do the unit wholesale or step-by-step depending on your preference. The lessons included a good mix of activities, assignments, and instruction to keep my attention at all times. The instructor who graded my assignments (Joanna) was great as well. She clearly articulated her corrections and offered great alternatives to the lesson planning assignments. I would highly recommend this course for those looking into teaching English abroad.”

“The course I chose to do was a 150 hour online course, both online and in person classroom lessons provide so much helpful information on how to become a teacher, what to do, how to act etc. The mentors I had during my experience were both extemely pleasant and very helpful. Originally, I was unsure if this was the career path I wanted to pursue but now I know it is the job I want to do. I would definetly recommened to others and would urge others to even try it out as this organisation makes online and in person learning so informative, engaging and fun.”

“I really enjoyed the 20 hr virtual course over the weekend with Joanne though the pre-coursework could use some updates. I submitted a separate feedback for that course. I think you should require everyone to complete the TEFL methodology unit before jumping into the virtual course. All students in the class were at different levels of proficiency and some were struggling more than others. All the classroom example videos were engaging and helpful. Each module/Unit was in small, manageable chunks. I was able to finish all modules well within the stipulated time. The TEFL customer service was very prompt in their responses which helped me significantly at the opportune times. Denise, my tutor, provided helpful suggestions and ideas on my assigments that I can use for the future. The only thing I am a little disappointed about is that the coursework and course wont be available after the expiration date for future reference. I did download the course and coursework as a pdf per the instructions from your customer service but that does not include the videos and would be a lift trying to download each one of them.”

“I did the Teaching English Online Bundle which I thought was good value and provided an excellent introduction. The course was presented in manageable, accessible and useful units and actually gave insights in some areas, such as lesson formats, that I hadn't got when I did my CELTA a few years ago. Richard, who led the practical sessions, had a superb manner and put everyone at ease, and also provided me with one to to one help using Zoom which was much appreciated. The ongoing career support will no doubt be useful too. I now feel much more confident about working as an online teacher.”

“The course provided a solid foundation of general TEFL teaching methodology and briefly addressed special topics like teaching children or developing online lessons. I especially appreciated the opportunity to develop sample lesson plans and receive timely feedback on them from a tutor. While it was helpful to see how the theory can be applied in the classroom, I felt the examples scattered throughout the modules were sufficient. I didn't learn much from the Video Observation module and I feel that those hours could have been spent more productively going into more detail on teaching methodology.”

“The TEFL qualification provides a solid foundation of the essential knowledge needed for teaching. However, it doesn’t cover everything. Most schools will have their own specific teaching methods and may require you to adapt, which is completely fine because TEFL equips you with the core principles. My main issue with learning TEFL online is that it can be quite monotonous and uninspiring, even if you are passionate about teaching. The lack of variety in the design, such as the color scheme and layout, doesn’t help the experience either. Nevertheless, the content itself is very useful. If you stay focused on your goal and where you want to be upon completion, it’s definitely manageable. The tutors provide valuable advice and insights into lesson planning and classroom management, which can be incredibly helpful. Moreover, TEFL’s job placement network is a great resource, especially since finding a job independently can be quite challenging. Overall, I believe the TEFL course offers good value for the money. I would recommend it, but I do think there is room for improvement in making the material more engaging. It's somewhat ironic that a course designed for teaching professionals is itself rather dry. Hopefully, the TEFL organization will take this feedback into account and make future updates to enhance the learning experience.”
