“I found it a bit challenging at first, as I've never taught English before. However, the units were well planned and comprehensive. It's platform was user friendly. I must admit the course covered quite a bit more than expected, but proved to be beneficial. I'm happy I chose TEFL.”

“I felt the training was helpful, but I wish it was more interactice specifically on the Grammar module which was VERY long and not interesting at all. I liked the modules that we had to submit and type lesson plans for. Having a tutor review and make suggestions made the modules feel more like a real class.”

“Hi, I have completed the 40 hour English teaching online course. After completion I feel like I have not gained much over sight as to teach a lesson online. There was a few videos examples but the 'students' in the videos were clearly native English speakers and they knew exactly what the teacher was saying. I feel like this does not show the reality of teaching online to non native English speakers. I feel like I do not have the confidence going forward to pursue teaching English online. The module on how to set up my website and thorough enough and that was excellent advice and it gave me all the resources I needed.”

“The course was very easy to navigate and the tutor that I was assigned to was very helpful. I was given constructive feedback and was given prompt replies when I had questions. I think the course could benefit from including some more sample lesson plans for the teaching larger classes module but overall I was very pleased with my experience.”

“I was able to purchase a generously discounted 120 hour Course from TEFL.org which was exciting in itself for me to begin with. Following early retirement and a life changing move from UK to northern Spain (with my Spanish wife Marián), I felt the need to keep my mind engaged and occupied with a new challenge whilst also equipping myself with a relevant qualification should I consider working again. The first 3 modules of the course took me longer than expected, partly because they were necessarily condensed in subject matter, but also because I was not devoting myself rigorously to the course initially (although that inherent flexibility is part of its appeal). Seeing plenty of videos featuring real classroom lessons and situations was fascinating and absorbing. It was really interesting to follow the development of the students whom I also felt I has gotten to know, along the way. Not only was the course highly accessible and informative. It was also entertaining in terms of the parts played by students and teachers alike. The frequent quizzes were always challenging, but fun. The assignments more challenging but gave a great sense of achievement once completed successfully. Overall I found the course compelling and something of a test of my commitment, especially as it spanned nearly 6 months. I was also very glad to have completed it without recourse to seeking an extension.”

“The course is well structured and not difficult to pick up and put down again. During the course I unfortunately had a health issue but once that was dealt with, going back on ( i did extend the course) was fairly simple and it was easy to review what I had done previously and continue. The way in which it is broken down into bite size chunks help you to fit in with all your other life stuff!”

“Grammar Course was great, as was the Methodology course. The Telephone Course is a little outdated I believe as most classes now are online/video chat. Summary of units and possible teacher material i.e. exercise examples etc would be useful.”
