“This course was exactly what I was looking for when I began my online search for online TEFL teaching. I have been an (in-person) educator for the better part of 2 decades, however, the content in this course was ideal for someone like myself who wants to transition into online teaching. Furthermore, I was impressed with the structure/layout of the material, including incorporating practice quizzes at the end of each module to ensure material knowledge. Also, I liked that you can revisit the material/modules even after having completed a section. Lastly, I was very pleased with the turn-around-time for feedback; this was also very helpful.”

“The course was quite challenging, but well worth it! There was excellent support and guidance from my tutor, Thomas. My assignments were not just marked, but additional tips and ideas were also given. Completing the course has given me the confidence to take on a couple of the advanced-level courses, which will be useful for our future projects.”

“It was my girlfriend's idea to take this course. I have no idea if I'll ever use it formally, but it's nice to have in the pocket as a backup, and it also was a great way to expand my perspective on language acquisition. Words are kind of my hobby, and this was a fun course to take. Plenty of helpful feedback, professional, and difficult enough to be valid but certainly not hard. I am glad I took this course.”

“The content was great. Well structured and we'll organized which made a simple route for me to follow and complete all of the modules. Feedback and guide of my tutor Tomas was great. The virtual classroom tutored by Richard was the climax of this course which really gave me practical experience to teach as Tefl teacher. The only drawback of this course was this that before participating in the virtual classroom we had to pass the pre_task module which consists of different exams. I have not read methodology course before that and when I had those exams in pre_task module I got a little confused. There were no notification like ( first do the methodology course and then the pre_ task module ) it would be great if this obligatory step weren't in the course. We could do that module after virtual classroom too. But all in all it was a fantastic experience for me.”

“Very good lessons and activities. Not too overwhelming. Dedicated team and honest feedback on quizzes and assignments. Too many PPP lesson plans to come up with in the activities, I would have liked something different but other than that it’s fine. Maybe a lesson on things that might happen in a classroom outside of teaching and how to deal with it? (The lesson on troubling students was informative but maybe something deeper into bullying or mental health issues and how to deal with them as a teacher as we might work with students from all ages it’s important to have some awareness in that area). Also, maybe a lesson on how to properly administer a quizz or come up with an appropriate evaluation sheet (be it for A-levels or just a formative assessment as not all TEFL learners are familiar with the Scottish education system).”

“Course was easy to navigate and the feedback on assignments was delivered quickly. Classroom lessons were good and well planned. Course was informative, depending on the hours you pick, obviously it will probably be in more depth.”

“I thought the course overall was good. The in-person section was particularly valuable but should have been conducted with more relation to the main online course. I also think that there was an over-reliance on videos as a teaching tool and the quizzes were far too easy and should have been replaced with more meaningful assessments.”

“I loved the course! The teachers are amazing!! The classes are dynamic and fun! (Thank you all!!) The practices and assignements are carefully prepared to consolidate the contents of each Unit. “As a busy mother of two young children and an unpredictable schedule, TEFL.org was a great way to obtain my certification while going at my own pace. They also offer a wide range of post-certification courses so if you decide to establish a niche market in your teaching there is alikely a course that goes into more depth be it teaching young learners or English for business professionals.”
