“Used The TEFL Org to complete 40 hour Exam preparation Course to add to my original tefl qualification. As before was a great well thought out, easy to follow course which I thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely turn to the tefl org for any future courses I decide to take. The customer service and tutor support are excellent.”

“This course covered more methodology, lesson content, and pedagogy than when I studied a Bachelors in Primary Education and a PGCE. TEFL.org have created a very streamlined and comprehensive series of courses that are easy to follow and well organised. I would highly recommend this course over a Postgraduate Certificate in Education to anyone wishing to work in the ESL field.”

“Doing the course at TEFL.org really exceeded my expectations. I was able to clarify and confirm a lot of things that I had learned at the university and at the same time I could acquire so much more than I didn't know before. So overall I think it was a great investment not only because of the certificate but also because of the great amount of information that I could get and that is going to enhance my teaching skills from now on.”

“I think overall the course is very well structured, with clear and helpful content. It also has a good mix between, observation classes, quizzes, videos and reading. Observation classes are extremely helpful, as they provide real-life examples (although, in my opinion, the one about poorly delivering classes is too exaggerated and doesn't really represent the most common poorly delivered classes, which is teachers don't do check-up questions, don't do the Lead-in phase, mix Practice and Production exercises) Overall, would be great to consider having an observation class with large classes. I think it's where it lacks the most. Finally, my tutor - Alex - is very helpful and provides great feedback and additional ideas.”

“I was very frustrated with one tutor, who just gave me a feeling that that they wanted me to just pay an extension for the course and kept sending my assignment back for flimsy reasons. In my last attempt when I blatantly mentioned that it felt the tutor seemed like a money-grubbing salesperson, the assignment was cleared. This has really made me bitter because only 1 assignment was returned at least 6 times. I can understand when it was genuine but after putting in the hours when a tutor returns for ridiculous reason saying that you can do better than this is really aggravating. It is my sincere request that you look into such tutors as it will only kill your reputation.”

“I wasn’t sure what to expect from the course - but I was pretty certain I’d find it relatively easy as I’m a native English speaker… I was horrified to find the Grammar course really challenging! I’m not sure that I was ever taught grammar and honestly didn’t know my past participle from present perfect - none of it made sense. But actually, I knew all of it really, certainly enough to use it in writing, speaking etc, just not enough to explain it to anyone else! For me, Grammar took the most time (and I’m glad I did it first) - I took a ridiculous amount of notes (which I referred to a lot) and revisited a lot of it. Once that was gone, I threw myself into the stuff that felt more practical and useful and I loved it! The quizzes are great (and I found it helpful to go back and work out why I got some answers wrong) and I enjoyed the assignments; nothing needed to be longer than 600 words and the first few were much shorter. Feedback from my tutor was straightforward and really useful - he always offered extra ideas to add to my teaching and I really welcomed that. Honestly, it’s a great house - I was teaching while I did the course and it made a difference in the classroom straightaway. It’s interesting, well structured, mega useful, builds confidence and fits around life - if you’re considering it, jump in!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed the course. The assignments were quite challenging but overall it was a great online course. I’m pleased to say I will be proudly showing my certificate at my first job interview on Monday for a school close by. I live in spain and will (if I get the job!) be teaching extra English classes to groups of young learners. Wish me luck! :)”

“It was a well put together, comprehensive and intelligent course and I certainly learned a great deal. Some feedback: The videos looked dated and could do with a re-shoot. I sometimes could not hear the students so I suggest they are miked up in future. I discovered two errors in the questions which I brought to the attention of the tutor. Some other questions could be more clearly written, for instance one referred to the UK as a country. Maybe consider changing the Telephone Teaching module to Online Teaching and a give a greater emphasis to online teaching methods. Finally, just a minor point, but I didn’t understand why there were no desks or tables in the classrooms; papers and other materials were just put on the floor, which was a bit weird. Overall I enjoyed the course and I would recommend to others.”
