“The course was well presented but the after course support in finding jobs is rated unsatisfactory. Similar TEFL training institutes are doing a better job of assisting me find teaching jobs, this is in spite of me not training with them. They have been more helpful and have sent referrals my way.”

We certainly provide support with writing your TEFL CV, provide you with a reference letter from your course tutor (course dependent), as well as grant lifelong access to our TEFL Org Jobcentre, where you will be able to exclusively access many TEFL positions both internationally and online. We also encourage an active Facebook and forum community, which include weekly webinars, and blogs. You can also email jobs@tefl.org for additionals help and advice, or if you have questions regarding your job search. “Hello Alan, I have learned so much from the videos and feel the program is top notch. I know what to expect from them and there are times a little more variety would be appreciated. Unfortunately I have not been able to put much time into it as of late due to unforeseeable circumstances but am hoping to remedy that soon. I already am a teacher and I took this on as a preparation to volunteer for a local organization that helps immigrants and those working toward citizenship learn English. It is a bit more than I needed for this but thought it may be useful. I am happy I signed on and I thank you for reaching out and appreciate all the resources. Best, Janine”

“I found the course comprehensive and thorough, covering all aspects of teaching practice. I would have liked to have online zoom consultations with my tutor as just going through a message could be a little confusing at times. My personal tutor was really quick at responding to enquiries and helped me gain a clear understanding of methods needed in planning a lesson.I'd recommend to anyone. Thank you.”

“The course is well structured. However, I expected more depth in terms of the teaching methods. For example, PPP is not well illustrated, but it was emphasized as a key tool in the classroom. The methodology part is lengthy, parts of it have been repeated in following units. Shouldn't be there more elaboration on the psychological part of teaching students. Meaning, adults misbehave as well, there is no mention on how to deal with it !”

“I have learned so much on the grammar course, I felt it was explained well, with good teaching practise and the fun activities alongside the quizzes consolidated my learning experience. The only downside for me was that the thirty hour online course didn't give me enough time to satisfactory complete the course, I rushed through, skipping some of the quizzes and teaching classes. I could have extended the course, however, the added cost plus what I paid would have furthered a whole course on TEFL! I would appreciate some statistics on how others fared on the time it took to complete the thirty hour online course, but of course, that would depend on people's circumstances! But, it would be good to have an idea. I do feel that the 'taste' I have experienced is good and would spur me on, at some point to further the study of grammar. Thank you team.”

We find that this specific course has an average completion time of 3-weeks, though as you have said it does depend on each students circumstances. All our courses are also downloadable, including all the videos - so they can be referred back to at any time. “My experience with Tefl.org has been a very positive one. The combination of clear explanations, demonstrations and classroom observations were a great way to learn on the grammar course. Being a native speaker, I instinctively know the answers, but Tell.org has helped me to learn the rules and reasons as to why we speak that way. Looking forward to the next course!”

“Although I do appreciate how simplified the overview is and the fact that there is easy access to any unit, the video options could do with some improvements such as being able to increase the speed of the video with the help of multipliers (1.25,1.5...).”
